Direct link above takes you to a 42in for some reason. Tried putting in link for the above but won't work but if you check halfway down the page on the website, you will see the pic of above tv.

WOW such experts.
1. The FIRST thing you look for on a HD TV (specially for 50" size) is the resolution. This one is 1366 x 768 pixels (HD ready or 720p) whereas the one I posted is 1920 x 1080 -Full HD.

2. Dynamic contrast ratio for this is 30,000:1 and the one I posted is 40,000:1.

3. The one I posted costs LESS (and the price quoted is without Quidco).

See extended specs from the manufaturer.
Also mentions 600Hz Subfield Motion compatible. :whistling:

Voted HOT not in comparision but this is a deal in itself and the OP took effort in finding and posting.

Oh sorry, it isn't a Sony LED. For us chavs/poor people any of the deals posted on this thread are viable options although personally i wouldn't go bigger than 40" with these specs. Picture on HD will be excellent. Just not too sure about SD, but I am no expert- only going with what i read on places like av forums. But at least i am offering something constructive. ;-)

By popular concensus SD tv (freeview etc) is better on 720 resolution than on 1080. Read AV forums to substantiate this view. Key here for me would be how far from the tv you sit, anything under 9ft might render the viewer prone to seeing picture artefacts....this is a good tv for the right conditions.

Ok thats the blue touch paper lit... incoming from the 1080 posse....
