I just bought it too and got it delivered today. It is like been at the cinema. Huge and picture quality is stunning.

Definitely not "fantastic" sound. The sound is very "tinny" and always requires a sound bar plus subwooder.

I actually think the sound is more than decent. I may get a soundbar but later on.

Just literally setup my 55 inch version of this TV tonight and it's amazing. great price but I'm not a huge fan of currys. JL or RS for me.

This voucher applies to all TVs that are more than £399 http://www.hotukdeals.com/vouchers/10-off-tvs-over-399-currys-2525071

Plus TCB has 7.35% on TV's over £1000 finishes 11th Oct. It also shows This offer as well. Bargain if it pays up. That means it could cost £1666.87 with currys + TCB discount

The LG OLED's drop from about £4.4k then to about £3.8k with this method

im so tempted to get this http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/tv-and-home-entertainment/televisions/televisions/samsung-ue75ks8000-smart-4k-ultra-hd-hdr-75-led-tv-10146918-pdt.html
this is what you call a tv...the 10% code works bringing it down to £3,329.10 plus my partner works for sainsburys so i get another 8 % off bringing it down to £3,063.00 plus if the topcashback at over 7% (if it pays out) so im looking at £2,700 which is a bargain for this tv!! just need a nudge in the right direction...

anything above £1000 I'd prefer to get an OLED Tv.
I know Quantum Dot is supposed to be as good, but it still can't turn individual pixels off
#13
so tempted by this, been looking at this tv for a while - good deal
#14
oled beats this any day!
#15
So wait, this doesn't have a component in? What are the options on this for connecting component equipment? Best connection for my original XBOX.
#16
Good TV but the screen is edge lit so local dimming is poor and being a VA panel off axis viewing is also poor.

Input lag?

What's the difference between this and the KS9000 apart from a difference of £180?

Looking at a comparisone HERE, there doesn't seem to be anything.

But there must be?

KS8000 = Flat?
KS9000 = Curved?

I got a box from amazon to allow component connection which works great. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B002C7CCJ6/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

So curved worth the extra £180?
#25
I've never seen the point of curved screens, wouldnt pay more for one

I'd like a oled but to me i can justify spending the 3.5k to get one, this seems to give the best bang for buck.

Same here , 2-4 week delivery ....... I feel sick , lol

TCB should reduce this to £1689.75 with around £110.25 off , the tv10% is also an official code on TCB so you should not have a problem using the code and getting cashback.
Now to sell the 46" Panasonic Plasma to knock a further bit off the cost ,I'll be demoting my 55" Samsung LED tv from the conservatory to my living room and in its place this monster , can't wait , but still feel really sick having spent so much lol

UPDATE : PLASMA NOW SOLD , Don't feel quite so sick now. Getting Excited , hope delivery is nearer to 2 weeks than 4 !!

TCB is ex VAT with TCB so £1689.75 would be more accurate ;)

Yes just the curve mate, the 8000 is the flagship flat model and it's the best thing i've bought for some years.
The KS7000 is the one down from this, but this handles motion better along with having good built in speakers

That's if TCB tracks.

How long does Currys take to track in TCB?

Mine hasn't yet, but maybe too early to see it yet?

I've found over the years though, the big cashback amount sometimes don't track for some reason despite clearing cookies prior to clicking trough from TCB or Quidco. Using the same method, the little amounts like 10p, 50p, £1 etc always seem to track OK though.

It's usually the £50, £100+ etc amounts that doand when an enquiry is made, some other affiliate network has been credited with the cashback. Me think internal scams, but I'm a cynical barstward.

I wouldn't worry , I had an oven not track last October and expected £80/£90 cashback, it didn't track but manual claim was successful and pretty quick once I had contacted them

Ahhh, but don't forget the 10% off code (£1699.00) and TCB @7.35% (£937.00)!

Should bring it down a few quid.:D

£14363 - Bargainous!

That's if I've done the calculation correct (which I probably havent). LOL

Are the 2016 flagship models upgradable like the older ones that could be updated with 'Evolution Kits'?

Ordered it, but 2-4 weeks delivery now which gives me ample time to have buyers remorse and cancel

Anyone tried a John Lewis price match? Not sure if they do it with voucher codes though?
