Really not an exceptional price, as it has been slowly creeping down in price anyway.

I would personally go for the cheaper Crucial M500 if it goes on offer again (was £110-130 recently).
#11
Yeah this is still too pricey for me. Been waiting since July for the price to drop to around £130. I'm in no hurry. Wasn't quick enough when the M500 was in the Black Friday deal unfortunately.
#12
oh and I've already used my PRICELES5 code on something else. You can only use it once.

MasterCard promotion has completed now.

been this price for a while. I was going to get it until I heard about the slow old data bug. Not sure if the firmware has been released to fix that or not.

There is no monopoly on posting Amazon deals, so you can relax and carry on posting Amazon deals such as the last four you posted.

A very good SSD! And the price is quite acceptable. Heat!

Samsung SSD 840 EVO Performance Restoration Software

Samsung is releasing a new firmware and performance restoration software package for the 840 EVO and 840 EVO mSATA.
The firmware update is recommended to users who may have experienced any drop in read performance of the mentioned drives.
Running the software packages provided will first update the firmware(840 EVO : EXT0CB6Q, 840 EVO mSATA : EXT42B6Q), then scan and calibrate all existing data on the drive.
