#9

Unless your camera has issues with class 10 and prefers class 6.

What if you're never going to need the extra 8gb? Then that's a little over £2 wasted....

I see there is a Kingston 16GB Class 10 with adaptor on there for £5.15,worth the extra few pennies I think!

Dash cameras that prefer a class 6 camera because there are issues with a class 10.

I ordered 8gb class 10 Kingston and the customer service was not great, the delivery is fast, just hope nothing goes wrong.

Is it worth paying an extra pound for a retail pack? Maybe to be confident it's original

Missed that option, I probably would've paid the £1 to increase the odds in my favour.

I would use this Class 6 happily in camera and camcorders (up to 720p) every day of every week because I don't use RAW and rarely continuous shots. For those who are not sure, look up your JPEG photo file size. If it is roughly less than 6 MB in size then you are OK.

Class 6 will be fine for photos unless you really want to do fastest possible continuous shooting. But yes generally speaking a camera need fast sequential write which class 10 will provide.

For a phone however you may find that some class 10 can be extremely slow for random access and perform worse than class 6.

If you want more MB per £1 then the 32GB is only £8.95 :

It does say it's the old version ,,,not sure what the difference is ? the colour ? Lol

IMHO no this a reputable company high volume, clearly the CS is a bit patchy but that might be explained by their low margins.
These small 8gb units are ideal for RasPi, e readers, tablets, cheap cameras and smartphone etc. Clearly if you have a high end phone / camera you would purchase according to your needs.

is it compatible with a Raspberry Pi?

It's not listed in the compatibility list but I imagine it will be fine since most of the Samsung SD cards work.

Compared to the £100 Apple charges for 16GB it's a steal.
