Can't belive...
#2
Don't believe that for a second.
#3
Might be a good idea to post a pic of your receipt if this is genuine :)
#4
Any evidence?
#5
seriously newbies NEED to post proof, e.g. picture of receipt, picture of the actual goods, to back yourself up, posting deals like these out of the blue will make it hard to believe.
#6
This is genuine i just phoned currys to try to reserve one myself. They said mostly ex-demo ones. When i talked to a store i was told "They were out being used around the store so weren't being sold". Which i suspect is code for the staff want them.

Good luck to anyone who can get hold of one.
#7
HTZ is 119.

Maybe manager/store specific.
#8
The phone person said they were discontinued soI suspect that they are selling off end of line stock and ex-display. There was 1 listed in every store within a 50 mile radius of myself but not where i live lol.

Like I said though, good luck if you can prise one from the fingers of the staff. ;)
#9
i also seen the samsung bluray player for that price in ballymena county antrim but it was ex display model and the wee cover on the tray wasnt siting right so i passed.
#10
who expired this and why?
#11
Nothing in my local store.

Why do they need to provide proof? you either believe it or not are you worried that taking a stroll to your local Currys might actually take you away from your pc,fags and booze for more than 10 minutes? That stuff you breath in is called clean air not alot of it up there I know but try it sometime you may live into your 40's but as Scotland has the lowest life expectancy in Europe I doubt it.

LOOOL at that pathetic attack, wouldn't get myself as low as that.

anybody can start posting instore deals, could be real, could be fake, "taking a stroll", have you ever considered some people might be miles away from a Currys and wastes petrol & time if these deals didn't exist? that's why proof is important!

btw personally don't smoke, drink, or gamble. Scotland's average is poor mainly due to fifth of the pop' live in Glasgow, pulling the whole countries average down, where I live is actually very nice small city. (not even Scottish but obliged to tell the facts)
#15
i bought 2 of these on wedensday and sold them for double the price.

i work in a currys digital and i will list a few stores that have

If someone takes the time to post a half decent deal on here why should they post evidence if you dont believe them dont follow it up, your getting posting a deal mixed up with MP's expenses with one you now have to provide proof with the other most of us will still take the posters word for it (thank god) as for the "pathetic attack" you wouldnt stoop as low as that? no, you'd only stoop as low as to demand proof from a poster who posted a deal to help other members, you loser... oh sorry didnt mean to call you that I need evidence before I can call you that? What are you No.1 in Dave? being a loser?

lol, expected better behaviour from an experienced member.

I'm not the first, and will not be the last to demand proof from posters, especially newbies posting deals like these, lets see who you'll try your pathetic attacks on next.

explains everything about you..... Demand LOL some members on here are just a bit too arrogant. If you want proof go find it for yourself or just ignore the offer posted and move on....

SHOWMAN36 started using the "demand" word, so I followed on from there. Even if anyone who nicely "requests" a proofpic, they'll get attacked for being demanding etc, what's the difference.

If I posted an instore only deal, of course I'll show the evidence to support my post.

perfect example is t0mm who posted the £39.97 for the Curtis Bluray Player from Currys, another quite hard to believe deal, but straight away he saved all the doubt by posting a big proofpic in the first reply, that's what good experienced members do.

yeah so newbies NEED to post proof is not demanding? can you see far on that high horse you seem to be on?
#22
sorry I didn't post proof earlier - I thought it was more important to get the details of the deal on the forum. I realise the are many doubters for us newbies and someimes with good reason.

very much so I'm afraid, to avoid all the doubts and misunderstandings.

and why is that some ppl don't seem to have the common sense to question things that may be too good to be true, e.g. deal like £40 for a Bluray player, £40 for home cinema etc, natural instincts to doubt and question things keeps ppl from falling into traps or getting conned. But in the case of £40 BD player the OP posted a proofpic, saved all the doubts, easy isn't it?

another example is the tesco chart games deal posted by another newbie, which got the whole of hukd, and subsequently the whol net all worked up, "ALL CHART GAMES 19.99 THIS FRIDAY ONLY!!!!! INSTORE NATIONWIDE", said he'll go back & take a pic, but still no proof till this day, wasted quite a few member's time & effort going down to check & all dissapointed.

i dont know what all the fuss is about?

or am i missing something?

exactly, getting attacked for "asking", "requesting", "demanding" etc etc for a proofpic, unbelievable. Natural tendances/instincts to question and doubt about things which may be too good to be true, keeps you safer, less likely getting tricked, conned etc.

how hard is it to take a picture nowadays? even a crappy mobilephone pic showing the receipt will suffice.

Thanks for the post and welcome to HUKD

I have added your image to your post in post 7.

That's an amazing price and I hope other HUKD users can benefit from your good find and kindness to post on HUKD

Just to throw in my 2p's worth. I post deals from time to time, whenever I see them and I wouldn't personally go through the hassle of taking a photo just to prove my integrity. If people don't want to believe me then that's their loss. Posting a deal here is a courtesy not a privilege.

The majority of deals are genuine and deals like the one mentioned are the very reason HUKD shouldn't accept posts where the deal isn't active yet. This site is imperfect like every other site, one just has to live with it and accept from time to time that there will be an idiot that will put a bad post. It is up to the user to use common sense and discretion.

More to the point, these deals are rare.

There are so many deals where the item is a few quid cheaper than the nearest competitor. These deals where the item is 75% + off the rrp or nearest competitor is more like the HUKD of old.

Bring back the old 1p 42" TV's that may/may not be delivered. :-D

I'm interested in the HTZ310R.. my local store has some in stock according to the website, as they're available for reserve and collect. If I pop in tomorrow on the way to work what are the chances I'll get it for £39.97.. or am I going to be told I must pay £200 or whatever the website price is?

It's worth a try. You can always cancel it when you go in.

Neither of these products are on the website. Perhaps you confused the HTZ320R for the HTZ310R?
#34
HTZ310R in stock in 3 stores, aren't the clearance stuff normally stickered at a lower price only instore? doubt the full price one at £200 would scan at 40 quid, worth a try
