Experience photo-realistic television and crystal clear HD audio with this Blu-ray Disc player from Samsung. Connect it up to an HDTV via HDMI to experience breathtaking audio-visual clarity Blu-ray, high definition movies.

Blu-ray players are the next generation of video technology, offering stunning HD video and detailed HD audio. Movies on Blu-ray Discs contain up to four times the resolution of DVDs for incredible clarity and stunning audio quality. If you have an HDTV, a Blu-ray player is the next logical step to watching movies in all their glory.

This Blu-ray player from Samsung has a collection of clever technologies to make your movie watching experience easier and better. Enjoy watching your Blu-ray Discs in full 1080p resolution, while you can still play your library of older DVDs and CDs as well.

The player keeps cable clutter down with HDMI version 1.3, which lets you connect a single cable to your HDTV.

Samsung's Anynet+ system lets you control all your Samsung HDMI enabled devices (HDTVs, Blu-Ray players) with one single remote - gone are the days of fumbling through several remotes to pause your movie.

For amazing sound, it supports Dolby Digital Plus Audio, and uncompressed PCM audio formats which sound identical to the original studio master tracks.

BD Profile 1.1 lets you continually update your player with the latest features available by simple download - via USB and a PC.

Great player, I ordered this from Novatech a couple of months back and glad to have changed from a DVD player. I was frustrated that it didnt play Avatar until I downloaded the most recent firmware 2.0.7 (it wasnt available via ethernet :(). I have to keep a usb stick in for BD Live discs too. But I suspect this is the same for a lot of players.

I bought this last time they had it on offer. Within 2 days it was refusing to play any bluray movies at all (but still worked with DVD's). At first I was going to get it fixed by Samsung as Novatech didn't have any more. Then I saw sense (and the reviews!) and decided to return it. I bought a Panasonic from Richer Sounds for £99 and haven't looked back.
I honestly think Samsung BD players are not up to the quality of there other products. There seems to be a lot more negative reviews of their players when compared to other makes. They seem to have more compatibility problems with newer discs too.

If you look on Youtube theirs videos of American people having issues with this player. that it kept freezing half way thru movies.

I had actually got one for a relative for xmas from amazon and it worked fine, picture was great and didn't have the US problem. Except that there were no region unlock codes for bluray or the DVD that could be found online.

They had a lot of foreign dvds cos they use to live abroad. so it was unsuitable had to go back for somethingelse.

But great price and def Hot:thumbsup:

The reviews seem to be okay. Not amazing, but not bad either. Have you had a bad experience with it or something?

The US one is different to this one as the firmware in that is different thats why they had the bugs in that one.
