Anynet's just Samsung's 'brand' name for the HDMI CEC standard, just as Bravia Sync is for Sony, Viera Link for Panasonic etc.

can you get a blue ray player yet with USB socket for watching movies from your USB stick?
#5
i hve a series 6 Samsung and a 1580 and the remote for the bluray player has made the TV remote redundant.Quality of the 1580 is very good and the fact it can view avi format films from either a dvd disc or pendrive is what sold it to me.

Got my player from amazon when they had it for £90 and took the option of a further £15 off if i took out an Amazon Credit card

Some people get extremely a nal about the quality one player puts over another one, i wear glasses and am a little hard of hearing and at my age im happy to watch the film not spend the lentgh of the film studying its quality and sound

Its £119 though, thats the cheapest, unless its on some no name site noone ever buys from.

So thats £34 more...

Then look at the BDP 360 and think well Ill spend another £50 and get something else and so on. Before you know it youve spent £150 :D
