Posting more to find out what the general feeling about this player is than as a deal.
If it gets hot I will probably buy it, if not I won't.

-----------------------------
The Samsung BDP1580 offers the latest Blu-ray spec with all the Samsung quality at a top value price.

With the latest software, Samsung's BD-P1580 Blu-ray is more compatible than ever! With the latest generation Blu-ray technology, the Samsung BDP1580 goes further than many budget Blu-ray players by offering BD live and an Ethernet Port. Connect the BD-P1580 to your Broadband connection and you can download extra content from the film you're watching and receive updated firmware online. Furthermore, the USB connection lets you play music or show photos via the player, through to your TV.

On top of all of this, it comes equipped with Anynet+ which allows the BDP1580 to be operated by a compatible Samsung TV remote. Not only can you reduce the amount of remote controls you have, but it also remains remarkably easy to use. The graphic interface is intuitive and friendly to use, whilst the unique pop-up menu gives extra source information in an easy to digest format.

players okay got one for my bro inlaw for xmas, the usb slot on the fronts really handy. I was a tad worried at 1st cos i saw some horror youtube reviews on the US version, were the films just freeze after 30mins of play. but no problem on his. only issue is that they have lots of dvds from when they use to live abroad and they couldnt find a region code unlock for this exact model. But plays UK blurays very good. Apparently it even plays a format called AVCHD its a hd movie format from most high spec digital cameras

Father in law has one and it plays avi files from a USB pen drive.

if you want to vote cold over 4p, then I can say that this was on offer in amazon about 2weeks ago for £84.99 and free postage too (gone back up now).
I'm voting hot. still a good price for those that actually get up and pop down to shops.

fuel costs, parking is awkward at richer sounds, time taken etc, I'd rather have it delivered.
