Great price:

Refill toner can be bought here (it's the *slightly* involved melt/chip/pour method but the prices are amazing):

Refills for under £15...

cold, because Dabs have it at £151.58 with £100 worth of extra toner (which is cheaper than buying refills for this one)

Seems like £15 per colour which means £60 no?

Still a good deal as people may just have the £100 now for the printer and not £151.58, after all they can worry about refilling it later. Voted hot as a colour laser printer for under £100 is very good.

I have a £500.00 Dell Laser Printer and it's still 99-100% full and I have had it 6 months! If it's a similar capacity then it's a great deal!

It saves so much money in the long run and is probably better for the enviroment when you think about it. Not that I am too bothered about that! but still. :)

Oh and I am in business (designer) so I sent out quite a few printed invoices. The Dell has been brilliant for me.

Does anyone know if this comes with full toners or the half full 'starter' ones?

PDF manaul indicates cartridges supplied with unit are 25% empty (or 75% full, depending on your viewpoint). Actual wording:

"When printing text at 5% coverage, you can expect a toner cartridge life of about 2,000 pages for black and white printing and 1,000 pages for color printing. However, the toner cartridge that is shipped with the printer prints 1,500 pages for black and white, 700 pages for colors."

A little disappointing maybe, but bar for a few exceptions, this is pretty much standard industy practice.

Mines does 5000 though. Then again huge difference in price!

I think it would be fine for someone who printed a lot of letters, documents, pdf's etc. :)

Once these are empty do you just buy the toner things again and its a simple process of filling them back up or is there a bit of involvment with it?

sorry, total novice to laser printers:?

These are great printers for the money - especially as they come with 70% filled toners. However...

The print is quite blurry - it's not a sharp image at all.

This has a carousel type printer engine. This means that it prints each colour seperately so if every page you print is colour then your 20,000 page rated developer drum will only last 5,000 pages.
Not quite sure the dabs one is such good value:
it doesn't say you get 2 lots of toners, just that it includes the 4 colour toners...

Quite clear to me that there is an extra set of toners, especially as there is a separare listing for the printer only

Just to confirm that it has now arrived and there was a separate, extra set of toners.

Dabs seem to have this for about 3 different prices. Do their offers change daily?

Price seems to be £129 plus vat on package plus toner bundle which is £151.58.

On separate subject what would you need to print wirelessly from this?

TIA

A wireless bridge connected to the N version of the printer (at £150 odd at ebuyer, £20 for the bridge).
Or get a wireless print server (like this http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/120353) for £50 and the normal version of the printer.

Actually this looks a lot better: http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/89143
