Not found a review yet. Seems a good price for a camera with 10 mp and iso1000 but it is quality of the pics which is important.

For the big price reduction this camera is really new having been released late december 2006, not even two months ago (if photoblog website is correct)

Voted hot.

AMAZING spec for the money.

Guess the downside is the size - not really a party camera is it?

Unless you like zooming and cropping, or blowing your photos up to 12x8 there isn't really any need for a camera with this high a resolution is there?
Having said that £119 is an absolute bargain! My kids all have Samsung digital cameras and the quality is superb, so this deal is well worth considering if you want a new camera.

IMO the priority is Optical Zoom, then Lens Quality, THEN Megapixel.

Make sure you get decent of the first two, else the megapixel is rubbish!

Hi,

Can someone tell me how it is possible to use both the Egg Link and Quidco to get the price down further?

Thanks,

I have heard you just go through quidco and pay by egg and egg will automatically discount. If it doesnt you can always contact them.

I've ordered this camera and used the code for the extra £10 off. FYI if you order online with DIXONS and decide to return the item you get 7 working days AFTER DELIVERY TO YOUR ADDRESS to take it back instore and you get a full refund (incl. any postage you paid).

Might be useful for anyone concerned about the size of it as the DIXONS t&c's say that they will take good back as long as they have the original packaging with the product...if you open it and don't like it, take it back.

With regards to some of the comments regarding battery life...why the hell would you NOT use rechargable batteries. It is standard for a non-compact Digital Cameras to use AA batteries and the thought of running on reg AAs is just daft. If you don't have these already then don't go straight to the deal but go onto the Dixons website and search for Samsung D103...you get 3 options. 1 with just camera, 1 with camera and accessories, 1 with camera and "gold" accessories. The £10 code works on all of them.

The other issue with regards size...it really isn't as big as people are making out!
It seems that a lot of people are comparing to a compact digital camera which is smaller but only at the cost of far poorer specs elsewhere (ie. no Macro Vision - ideal for close ups @4cm, Megapixels,ISO, lens quality,etc...)

As always Samsung is a great model and when I checked out compatible SD cards this is what I found:

http://www.mymemory.co.uk/compatible-memory/Digital_Cameras/Samsung/Samsung_Digimax_D103

Don't purchase from that site though as there are cheaper places to find the stuff (i.e. the Kingston 2GB card sold there for £17.99 was posted for only £10.99 on an earlier deal so use the seach bar to check for it). It was mostly just to show you what cards should be fine.

The last thing is that if you are looking for a decent carry case for this model then the LowPro Rezo 20 is more than decent. You might find it cheaper elsewhere but it is available from Dixons for £12. Other colours of this, in other than black, are available from Jessops (who are selling it for £13).

Thanks for the listing...the camera is going to make a great gift.

I tried this once when the EGG card discounted Currys online. As I did not go through the proper EGG link on their website, I did not receive the instant money off. Called EGG CS and they said as I had not gone through the website I would NOT receive the money. Have not tried it with Dixons so things may have changed, just be prepared to lose the 5% discount.
