One of the most exciting features of this handset has to be the 2.0 megapixel camera, with built-in flash. The picture quality is striking, sharper than you would expect from a 2.0 megapixel camera, particularly when they are printed out or viewed directly on a TV screen, using the D600's ingenious output functionality.

The screen size of 31x41cm with a 262k resolution gives you a strikingly clear view, either for using the wide range of handset functions or using the handset's impressive camera functions. The handset has all the functionality and more you will have come to expect, including an impressive MP3 functionality for headphone listening or using the two loudspeakers placed on side surfaces on the top.

Hi kylewebb, and a warm welcome to HUKD. There's a link in my signature with a guide to posting deals which I would recommend you take a wee look at :)

I'll add a more descriptive title, a pic and a brief description. Please, also post individual items as "product" when submitting a deal, so a price shows up on the right hand side.

Thanks!!

Possibly because the phone itself leaves a lot to be desired? Such a shame; the screen is excellent, it's well built, the right size and weight and the featureset is basically sound, but poor OS implementation and (more importantly) terrible calling performance let it down badly.

For anyone who has had Nokias for years and is considering a switch to Samsung, do yourself a favour and borrow one off a friend for a week first! I wish I had a year ago :(

The only thing i found a bit annoying with the D600, was when sending a text message. Had to press to many buttons, but other than that i think they're quite a nice phone. I still use the 6230i at the mo, as cant find anything same size thats any better than the 6230i.
Also got a K610i & although the camera is a bit better, the menu system is not as easy as the nokia 6230i. So i gona fleebay the K610i & just stick with my trusted ol nokia 6230i.

This is a great phone and has a fantastic feature set....One of the best phones on the market and still fetching high prices around the £120-£140 on fleabay..

It blows most other phones into the weeds with its looks and superb screen, Most Nokia's don't come close to this phone...:)

Voted Hot..

Also get it for it for £99.99 when top up £20 at CPW in red or chrome.

Not sure about this deal but CPW one will be unlocked and unbranded.

In my opinion the nokia 6233 is a significantly better phone than this one ;)

It does have a nice screen, and is an excellent phone, but the picture is a little exaggerated it, it looks like a HD-Phone! Dont be fooled!

For those who have never used anything but Nokia- you're in for a shock!!! Battery time is less than one day. My old Nokia 6600 used to last for at least 3 days even after 18 months of usage. My Samsung D600 has got through 3 batteries since I brought it back in march. The battery just doesn't hold charge. I always carry a spare and its worse if your thnking about using the camera or mp3 features or God forbid the web browser. The nokia batteries last for much much longer in terms of life span too. Just my 2 cents.

Much better, better, as good as, worse, much worse?

Then I suggest you have a problem with your handset...You should of taken it back to the shop where you bought it from...:-(

I have a samsung D600 and my battery lasts for 3 days and that is with the phone on 24/7 I never turn it off overnight..

it looks like a HD-Phone

Such a phone does not exist....

Did you charge it for 12 hours on first charge?
Did you leave the bluetooth on always?
#18
Really? I think I might do that since I've only got 6 weeks until 12 month warrenty is over. Thanks

No my bluetooth is always off.
#19
Think you had probs mate, My D600 was great! No problems whatsoever

The worst mobile i've ever bought was a Panasonic GD67. Which is surprising as most things Panasonic make are very good and the phone was generally reviewed as being good.

I'd certainly never buy another Panasonic mobile. TV, Microwave, DECT phone, etc, yes.

I have a D600, had it since March 2006 on an 18 Month Flext contract.

Transition from Nokia to Samsung wasn't too bad. Note the space and preditive text button have exchanged positions on the samsung phone pad ... that annoyed me for 2 weeks but now I'm used to it.

Screen is amazingly clear, quite large and v. bright. Sound is excellent. Can easily put a cool ringtone on if i want, can even convert part of my favourite CD into my ringtone ... or do it a few times and have one for each friend when they ring etc.

Camera I hear is above average and can take some good pictures. I tend to use my canon camera though.

Could potentially be used as an mp3 player if you stick some memory into it although again I think the interface on real mp3 players are going to be vastly superior. Following the same principle really as the camera facility.

I would have to disagree with yasseral1 about battery life ... I can get a good inning out of mine. If I really screw with my phone i.e. go on a 200 mile journey with it connected to my Tom Tom (doing 15 minute bluetooth updates), connected to my bluetooth headset at same time, and spend about 1h of my journey on the phone talking ... i will prolly get a good day of standby left after and 1h of talk time. If I don't do any of that, if I used my phone lightly I could prolly get away with once a week charging.

Maybe the battery isnt better than another manufacturers one but it certainly isnt poor.

Has bluetooth as described. Online internet is quite poor ... never try hooking it up to a laptop, non 3G speeds are worst than dialup. Infact I hate dialup but really missed it after 3 days in the sticks with nothing but a D600 and a laptop. If you want mobile data services on the go, go 3G only.

One thing that struck me though, is the prices that phones like this go for on ebay new.... really decide if you really really want this phone, otherwise rake in the money on ebay. I sold the D500 (almost the same as the D600) on my previous contract for a good £200.

Oh, look out for a good phone body glove (made out of scuba material) for these phones on ebay. Quite good and prevent accidental damage.
