The only feedback I have is that it's not even on Samsungs website, I'm thinking these are not UK spec or mega old stock, other than that....Pass. I was thinking of getting one at that price but as there's no info anywhere on the D85 I'll give it a miss.

Found some specs on it at last http://www.laskys.com/digital_cameras_and_camcorders/cameras/digital_compact_cameras/samsung_d85_silver.html

Exclusive to Comet.

I've got a black one which I think is the same spec as this. Excellent camera, especially for the price. Does cane the batteries though, especially when viewing the photos.

For the price the 5X Optical zoom sounds appealing as does the 8.2MP, it's just the lens that would concern me as Samsung are not renowned for their digital cameras.

Strange that it's an unknown camera too, if you put Samsung D85 into Google only the comet link comes up for it.

I'm pretty sure it's the same as the S85 - check out the samsung site.

There are a few reviews around for the S85, all are pretty good - but I havent seen anything from the professional reviewers.

I *think* taht dixons/currys make manufacturers produce special versions for them - presumably so you cant go away and price match them - but never realised comet did the same.

Don't forget 3.5% quidco... might get one, using the reserve and collect tomorrow.

I have this camera and everything about it is great with one big exception and that is the battery life. It uses an enormous amount of power. I lost confidence with it when I went on holiday because it just kept running out of power.

Has anyone managed to solve this anoying problem?
