Samsung D900 mobile 12 months free on a 12 month contact via cashback. Choose the tariff, but you might as well go for the £45 per month, as you're getting it all back anyway. That's 800 free minutes and 500 free texts. No problems with e2save cashback deals, they even send you the redemption vouchers etc. If you use Quidco you will also get £36.50 back, making a nice little profit. I got this on Friday (only 11 months free - dangit) and the phone is unlocked to boot!

I'm new to Pay Monthly mobile phones. So is this true, we don't have to pay anything? Except if we use past the 800 minutes and 500 texts or after the 12 month contract?
#2
am i missing something here , its say 45 a month by redemption ( whats that mean ? ) but there offering 12 months free so you in effect pay nothing and get a free phone ?

where am i going wrong and whats the catch
#3
You pay £45 per month, which you get back by sending bills to them regularly.
#4
aha ,. so it relys on me being compitent with the bills , oh ******

I am a osps customer and was wondering how these cashback deals work. I have not received any bills since the first month and am on an O2 contracat. Can i print off online bills and send them, or do i have to pester them to send me my bills?

Print off your online bills and send them.

am presently doing a cashback deal with DIALAPHONE - have had no problems with my last 3 checks off them so would definately reccomend them , am due my 4th cashback with my november bill which i send to them recorded ( i recieve an email plus text within 3 days saying they have recieved it and the check is in the post) - but i do understand peoples initial response to these cashbacks as i was a little nervous to say the least when taking it up. But am extremely confident with the process now and will take another one once my contract finishes in 6 months.

With these cashback deals its best to only go for a plan you can afford / need just incase the cashback falls through.

If you miss a bill you won't get paid.
If everyone remembers to claim, the company will go under and you wont get paid.

These cashback deals are great but only go for a tariff you can afford just in case.

Over the years, I've done cashback deals with Mobileshop, e2Save, OSPS and Dial-A-Phone...............Dial-A-Phone's terms and conditions are by fa-r-r-r-r-r-r the simplest.

You'd have to be a monkey to mess up with them.
#10
Hmm..they seem to be a little sketchy about the difference between clearance and reconditioned, so there's a chance it may be a bit scratched?
#11
Before anyone goes with E2save, read the thread about them on MSE when the site is back up.(Martin recommended them. Bad mistake).

True, but the reason they are simple is because the deals are the worst.
Swings and roundabouts.
#13
dialaphone only use brand new phones not recon or refurbished remember that

Yeah, granted they aren't overly competitive but unless you're a Sun reader it's guaranteed money back?

It's all relative; enter into a "12 months free" contract with a dodgy outfit where you end up with nothing because the terms and conditions have tripped you up or go with Dial-A-Phone where you might only get 12 months @ £0.99 a month but it's bombproof.

As you say, swings and roundabouts............

****This is also a Price Match deal, which means if you miss out a cashback you will lose any others after it. e.g. If you have four cashbacks to claim and you miss out cashback number 3, you will forfeit cashback 4 as well.
#16
i would also say that i have also been doing a cashback contract this year and it is straight forward. so dont hesitate money is 2 b made. lol
#17
Dont touch with bargepole - Im with E2save, they are truly shambolic in every sense.
#18
I always dealt with e2save,about three handsets a year.I thought that they were a company to be trusted.
When you eventually get through to their customer services, their computers always seem to be down,to be told to call back. This is after having the old keep you on hold for 15 mins, pick up,put it down trick.
Sending cashback claims by Recorded Delivery was a waste of time as they didn't sign for them therefore you had no proof that they had been received. At this point, when i realized it hadn't beeen received,i was too late to send another and lost that months money.E2Save were not interested.
Only send by Special delivery.Even then,my last cashback claim was sent back to me saying that i sent it too early! I hadn't.I queried it just to be told to send it again".A waste of £4.30 postage in the first place.
I wouldn't touch them again.Ever!

with T-Mobile by any chance.

The fact that they put all accounts on one bill makes cash back a pain.

Best to avoid T-mobile for this reason

A week is a long time in politics; also in the reliability of cash-back companies.
#30
I've used e2save a few times and have always managed to get the money out of them - BUT only by threatening them with legal action, making a fuss in a CPW shop, and generally wasting huge amounts of time.

I have always done all their cashbacks by the book (you MUST follow their conditions to the letter) but they have rarely paid up when they should have done, and it's always a hassle dealing with them.

This particular business model (cashbacks) only works if a large percentage of customers fails to claim successfully. e2save certainly do their bit to make sure you fall into that percentage.
#31
also can hardly see a company like carphone warehouse going down, not saying it could never happen though but your probably safer with them than a lot of the other companys :)
#32
So someone please can you say who would be recommended as the best. I know thats a bit of a longshot question.

When the end of the 12 months come up when is the best time to cancel so you still get your full refund but so they don't take a further payment. I so want to try one of these plans but can't afford to lose out moneywise.

Thanks for any helpful replies
#33
cancel on month 11, i did it then took out a new contract with them - you still get the cheque no problem
#34
Just a word of warning. Cashback deals on mobile contracts were on Watchdog the other week. Can't remember which companies it was about. Please research before commiting to a contract but at the end of the day it's your choice.
#35
chatterbox was one of them on watchdog - i am in the middle of being stung by them!

they have owed me £240 for about 5 months now - not seen a penny yet

in their T&C for price match deals, it is pretty hash, so think about it carefully before you make the order

Print off your online bills and send them.

They do NOT accept online bills. They advise you to de-register your onling billing, as the original bill must be sent.

See T&C's at: https://www.secure-mobiles.com/files/pdfs/cashback_price_match_terms.pdf

It states:

"Along with the claim form, send us the original airtime bill showing your name, address, mobile number and tariff. You receive this by post from your network operator. We do not accept copies or online bills."

I'm in my last month of an 18 month contract which included 3 chshback cheques

I've had absolutely no problems

Got all my cheque, got txts to my phone to confirm receipt of my applications each time and a txt to say my cheque was on its way

I called them a few times with queires and had no perblom getting thru or sorting it out

Just this past week I was trying to call T-Mobile to cancel the contract with them and wot a nightmare - on hold 10 mins 1 day and gave up, on hold 10 mins the next day and gave up and then on hold 20 mins and gave up. Finally got thru the next day

I recommend e2save

I got two contracts, one from e2save and one from onestopphoneshop and they both got tracked and I got the money without two months.
