Thanks Mr T :)

Term cost is £150 + £60 Quidco cashback. I've amended the title accordingly...

£40 x 12 = £480
Cashback @ month 6 = £330.11
Quidco cashback = £60

Effective cost / month after cashback = £7.50

Does anyone know if their cashback is reliable?

I rang em up and asked what would happen if i didnt get a bill from vodafone (which has happened b4...and lost me cashback).

The sales guy at first said that they would be flexible if that was the case....but on further interrigation said that if i did not recieve the bill then i would need to request a copy from the operator...which is usually quite tight to do within 30 days.

He couldnt tell me if they take internet print outs of bills...and I cant see it on the T&C's.

If they do...this is an awesome deal.

Although I havent had a contract with Phones4U, there are plenty of positive reports about cashback being paid on time.

30-day time is pretty standard with most retailers (except CPW).

The Black version has just recently been added to the list of Vodafone offers on CoolNewMobile - 11 months free on 12 month contract but with Quidco it works out at about £5 all in. unless you can go 50:50 on a referral and it's free.

The cashback is very reliable.

Based on experience, I trust CoolNewMobile as much as Carphone Warehouse. CNM cashback T&C's are tougher than CPW but once you do your bit I see no difference. CPW give 60 days to claim which is excellent for cashback newbies, especially if things go wrong, to have some leverage period.

I was about to purchase this, then read the following.

http://www.phones4u.co.uk/important-info/keep-your-number.asp

Porting your number when buying on the website:
Following is a step-by-step guide:
Request your PAC number from your existing Network
Make a note of this PAC number
Select the handset and Network tariff and place your order
Once you have passed your security and credit check you will be sent your new phone which will include instructions of how to connect your phone
Once connected, you will be given a temporary mobile number
You must then contact your new Network or Service Provider quoting; your temporary number, the number you wish to Port and this number’s PAC
Your existing number will then be transferred within 5-7 working days
Your temporary number will continue to work on your new handset until after your existing number has been successfully transferred
The following is a list of contact details for the relevant Networks:
3 - 0870 733 0333
Orange - 0800 079 2222
T-Mobile - 0870 606 0139
Unfortunately we cannot arrange to Port your number on Vodafone and O2 for website sales.

I am currently on O2 and have had my number for years. Can anyone confirm that I am reading this correctly that I will not be able to port over my O2 number to this handset ?

you can port your number to them but you will have do do it over the phone and lose your quidco

Thanks.

Is Porting not somthing I could do a few weeks later as my current contract runs to the 20th May, this way not jeopardising my £60 quidco ?
