Voucher has expired, but this seems a decent price for this camera...especially for those of us dicked by Amazon!

Mixed reviews on the camera.
The price is good but I would think carefully before buying.

samsung cameras are rubbish.

seriously. they cameras only look good but not the picture quality! the shades are very patchy and to be honest my 5mp kodak does a better job than this.

Avoid.

put a few more ££ to get something really worth it

Samsung cameras vary. The s600 (same series and appearance as this s800) takes very good pictures whereas the s630 I have is also 6MP but takes blurry washed out pics you would expect from a 1st generation camera phone.

Just out of interest, do you have a link to a comparison of the S600 and S630? I was under the impression that they shared the same lens and CCD so the pictures they took were very similar (differences caused only by software). I can imagine that, in separate reviews, the S600 could have been rated higher than the S630 (due to the way technology moves on), but would be interested to see a review which rates the S630 lower than its older (in age) brother.

Perhaps I made the wrong choice by selling the S600 on eBay ... then again, it meant the S630 was free, so I can't complain :)

Oh dear. Thanks for that.

Was going to give daughter the 630 for xmas but I guess I am going to have to try them both out now. I shall sell the one that I don't want.

Also wouldn't go by the review on Plays' page, too much.
I understand that they eat batteries like there's no tomorrow.

Found it at long last.
Hi all needing 600 to 630 comparison.
(Open two instances of browser - A lot easier.)

Not a lot to choose but the s630 has wide mode and anti handshake. SHOULD be the better of the two.

Also specs for the 800 so I'm not hijacking the thread.:):santa:

So getting back to S600 and S630...

Which review says that the S600 has better picture quality to that of the S630?

The S800 camera arrived....whats strange is that it appears to have come from Argos stock, as it has an Argos catalogue code on it....560/4717 I think.

Very happy with the camera though. Bargain.
