Why is this not hotter?

Are there better value products around or is the DVD recorder out-dated?

If you're going to pay that much, surely now that Freeview HD is only a year away from completing its nationwide rollout and already available in some areas, you'd want Freeview HD capability? Staying neutral on the vote.

Just looked at some reviews and as said, not too impressive.

Any good alternative? Freeview isn't important as I get my telly through an old sky box. Freesat would be ace but I know that comes at a cost.
