Looks like a very basic phone but great deal for the minutes + texts.

Contract is Orange Dolphin 30 with £10/month Discount for 18 months = £20 / month payable to Orange for 400 Xnet anytime minutes & 'unlimited' texts.

14 months free via redemption offered from mobiles.co.uk (redeemable after months 6, 9, 12, 15 & 18, and you have a 30 day period to send them the bill with cashback voucher etc.

On top of all that there's £40 offered by Quidco making it just £2.22/month over the period of the contract - Bargain!

I've never used mobiles.co.uk for chequeback redemption before, but I have successfully used redemption deals before with well known retailers, and they work well IF you are organised and only sign up if you are well informed.

I guess.

Can't argue with £2.22 a month even without the phone but there are a lot of horror stories around.

Also, if they go bust, you're stuck on a £20/month contract.

I've been with Mobiles.co.uk and they're definetely one of the better cashback mobile companies around. They're part of CPW so there's no immediate chance they're going to go bust. Plus my cashback deals have come through fine, you can even email them an online verison of your bill and they confirm to you when they receive and process the cashback.

Re: if they do go bust, normally the phone companies give you incentive to stay. I had a Vodafone contact bought through a cashback company which went bust (£35/month) and I rang Vodafone, who let me continue the contract for £5/month just to keep me on the network.

As with all cashback deals, make sure you know when to send bills, which address to and when and make sure you send recorded (or request delivery/read receipts on emails). Everytime I start a new cashback deal I email the company and ask all these questions (especially which bills to send) so if there is a dispute, you have something to fall back on.

Hot deal!

This is simply not worth the hassle. I would rather spend 15 quid and get an unlocked one from CPW.

Hi there,

Worth noting that we see 5-10 complaints online about us in any given month, and these usually (but not exclusively - nobody's perfect!) can be traced back to the customer being at fault and wanting to vent somewhere.

What you don't see online are the 12,000+ customers who went away happy.

Also worth noting that as a successful and wholly-owned part of The Carphone Warehouse (a FTSE-250 company jointly owned by the largest electrical retailer in the US) we're not likely to be going anywhere anytime soon :D

Good luck,
Ben

Do you know how long this deal will be on the site for or any other similar deals like this?

Cheers

I just got this same phone on orange for 24 months 100 mins and unlimited texts plus 2 months free off peak data. £15 per month with 19 months free by cashback redemption from E2save who give £40 Quidco.
= 24 x £15 = £360 - 19 x £15 cashback (£285)
=£75 - £40 quidco
=£35 total for 24 months =£1.46 per month!!!
Even if the cashback claims fail or E2save go out of business £15 per month was the cheapest deal I could find for unlimited texts and my kids have been running up massive bills by going over their text limit so I am going to save a bunch whatever happens.
I will not be using the Samsung phone though, I got one of the LG Cookies on Orange for £77.67 from argos, so if I sell the phone on Ebay it will actually cost even less.

don't forget you will need to go through Quidco to get the £40
Also don't forget to ring Orange straight away and cancel the itemised billing or they charge an extra £1.50 a month.

Also E2save have change their cashback timelimits to 60 days from Bill date which makes the cashback claims more manageable you just need a system and it is easy.
