Fab....does anyone know if e2save phones are normally unlocked?

Also, do they just send you a £10 top up card which you could in theory use on any sim card/ phonenumber with Virgin if you wanted, or do they register it for you on this new sim card.

Just bought 2 of these phones. Threw one hard on the wall as I fought with my girlfriend and still working ( Surprised !!!). Excellent sturdy handsets. Good battery life. Can get a day easily with heavy usage. Good for backups. No fuzz. Just plain simple and easy to use. Can confirm that these are unlocked. One minor niggle is that it dosent come with any headphones so dont get them if you regularly talk using your headphones.

I bought one of these Virgin phones from the Carphone Warehouse on Shrewsbury high street last Sunday. It was exactly the same deal. I paid £4.95 for the phone and paid £10 for a Virgin SIM (which included a £10 top up).

I had two small problems with my purchase. The first was that Carphone Warehouse told me that I could have the phone for only £4.95 if I could give them the phone number of a valid Virgin SIM. Unfortunately Carphone Warehouse' cash till would not accept any of my Virgin phone numbers. Carphone Warehouse told me that no Virgin phone numbers had yet been accepted by their system. I now have rather more Virgin SIMs than I would like.

My second problem was that the phone does not appear to have simple WAP access despite promises to that effect on the Carphone Warehouse web site.

It does say on the Carphone Warehouse site that they are WAP compatible and have a radio but you get neither with it.

If you want something to give your grandma or to keep in the glovebox this will be fine.

I have just been looking at the ringtones on it and can't find any choices, looks like you have one ringtone!
