I was contemplating getting Ebuyer Extra Value Laptop but I'm quite tempted to get this. I'm not a fan of Windows, so would be installing Ubuntu/Mint, so do you think is a better deal even when I will not use Windows 7? Also, if this is a better deal, should I go ahead and buy, or wait for the January sales for a similar deal?

Any help would be much appreciated?

Well the Samsung is higher powered in the CPU / Memory and Video department.
Intel Pentium Dual Core T4300 (Extra Value Lappy) - SuperPI 1Mill - avg: 25 - MIPS 18550 - http://www.notebookcheck.net/Intel-Pentium-Dual-Core-T4300-Notebook-Processor.24436.0.html
Intel Core i3 350M (Samsung) - SuperPI 1Mill - Avg: 19 - MIPS 30348 - http://www.notebookcheck.net/Intel-Core-i3-350M-Notebook-Processor.23752.0.html
Both same size HD
Bluetooth only on the Samsung
HDMI only on the Samsung

Really Depends if you need the extra horse power and the other features are a must.

Both are not really gaming machines and both will handle Linux fine...

Windows 7 is handy to have for a bit of mainstream support when needed for the hard to find Linux alternative apps, and when Wine doesn't handle it correctly *cough Xfire* .... 320Gb HDD, Dual boot Win7 + Linux?

Take your choice :)
