Good phone but people i know who have it complain about the touch screen buttons. In the middle of a call the screen touches your cheek and cuts off the call, very annoying, be warned!!
#5
It was the same price at Argos.

I actually have this phone and can say its pretty good. I know what people mean with the touch buttons they can be annoying.. however in a call you can switch on the keypad lock with disables the buttons (inc touch) and you just slide the phone to end the call.

G8 Price- But Nightmare Of A Phone!

Couldn't agree more.
I bought mine about four months ago, and am about to bin it, and replace it with a Nokia 6300. Compared to my previous Samsung phones, this one's a nightmare, and I hate it.
Worst feature: it doesn't let you use T9 by default, so eeeeeevery time I reply to a txt message, I have to tap on the touch-sensitive Menu button for about a second (so it actually recognises I'm touching it), then manually tell it to use T9 text prediction. EEeeeeevery time.
Hate it. Great deal, horrible phone. My previous phone (Samsung E350) was so much more user-friendly, and had no ridiculous touch-sensitive buttons.

My sister said it was, she was abit annoyed she had paid £10 extra a few days before, I'm not sure on the colour, it was argos in Peckham she said.

Anyone know if an o2 sim will work in this? If not, any luck unlocking it?
#17
Argos has it same price, but its in silver. Same network.

i got my wife on on ebay for £40 a few months back, 2nd hand like but it was mint. so id check ebay for a good price.
#19
careful of ebay as the small saving you make may not outweigh the lack of warranty of items you buy on ebay.

These phones can be easily unlocked, for a fiver from most mobile phone shops. Dont pay more than fiver to unlock it. I paid £4 to unlock it 7 months back when it came out new, thats cos i knew the guy who unlocks them but he usually charges fiver.

Good phone, but the touch screen takes a little while to get used to. The camera really does suffer from blur, so you do have to hold the phone very still for a while after you press the shutter button to take the photo.

For 50quid its not bad - but if you have clumsy or large fingers I would recommend you avoid this phone.
#22
Well done,i`ve bought 2..cheers.

Very easy to unlock (2 minutes job). You can even use the supplied cable to do the unlock (you need to install the USB driver for the phone) and rmeove the sim card.

I have uploaded the unlock software to : http://www.megaupload.com/?d=9F3SMEYG

After it has unlocked remove the battery and reinsert before starting the phone again.
