Is cashback in the form of cold hard cash or vouchers to use with the network?

All the Cashback that I have been receiving past few years has always been via bank transfer.

Previously you received vouchers which needed to be sent back to them with the relevant air time bill, I used to send each of these vouchers by Royal Mail 1st class recorded delivery, cost: £1.12, but now what they have changed this. All you need to do now is write the cashback claim number on the airtime bill and just fax it to them (no:09069592033), cost 75p, you will receive same day confirmation on receipt of the fax.

Full claim details are included when you receive your order.

Hope this helps

Reliable cashback from MobileShop. Thanks Muhammad :)

As far as MSE members are concerned the Mobileshop are very unreliable with their cashback and I would stay well away. It has become apparent over the last year that there are only 3 cashback companies who are reliable. E2save.com, onestopphoneshop.co.uk, and dialaphone.co.uk. All of the rest (i.e mobileoutlet, the mobs) seem to be real con artists. Please see below and do further searches on MSE for more info on the Mobileshop.

Stick to the big three and you will always get your cashback and in my experience that even includes when you don't quite meet the terms and conditions of applying for the cashback.

A friend of mine has used mobileshop for 2 contracts and so far no probs with cashback. I use carphoneware cashback with no problems.

Three simple golden rules with cashback:

1) Follow the bill + voucher rules to the letter
2) Send any claim in by at least recorded delivery if not special delivery
3) Send it well in advance of any deadline, some companies give an excuse that it takes day after recieving to deal with any claim, so if they say 14 days, after 5days you shouldof sent it already

The main pain the rear for cashbacks is having to go to the post office, and you need to plan them otherwise they make hundreds of your lazyness which majority of their cashback deals result in.

From my personal experience I can tell you that I have never had any problems with them and I have been with them for the past few years. Same goes for my friends and family. I have also used others (e2save, dialaphone, carphonewareshouse) but still would prefer mobileshop over all of them.

I'v read the MSE post and to be honest I am very surprised. Maybe I am the only one mobileshop are taking care of :)

All I can say is that I have always received my cashback very promptly without the hassle of contacting them and asking them when will I receive it. Mobileshop have always confirmed receipt of my cashback within 48/72hrs and given an estimated date of payment.

Here is a screenshot of last years cashback which I received: Click Here Look at the dates, all as promised it also includes 3 x £30 payments for refer a friend scheme.

Hope this helps.

Sorry i'll rephrase that, is it vouchers that can only be used with the network provider or 'real' money? I applied for the LG Chocolat a few weeks ago that appeared on here using the same contract/cashback principle but a friend told me on his he was only offered 'network vouchers' as cashback:x :x :?

Just to add, i totally agree with andyroo, i bought it for £245 when it first came out and immediatley sold it. I lost around £90 but it was terrible. Confusing menus and didnt do anything particularly well at all.

The LG K800 is very similar but IMO is a better phone.

No its real money not network vouchers.
