Good find, closest I found for this model was £89 with Argos. Alas I had to pay £110 with £10 credit from CPW to get it on O2 for the girlfriends birthday......which is today......and still isn't wrapped.

Wheres the voucher?

Great but the O2 version is Pink

Is the E900 easy to unlock? :?

Can you get rid of the branding from the menus etc? :?

Is there any branding on the phone itself? :?

Great but the O2 version is Pink

It's actually metallic red and not as poofty looking as the pink title would suggest:whistling:
#7
Metalic Red or not it's still a girls phone ;-)

Yes , just download a small program and use the data cable that come with it, takes a few seconds
#12
Thanks for that..... I think I have seen your post on how to do it before.

How do you get rid of the branding from the menus etc?

Is there any branding on the T-mobile or Vodafone handset?

The program only unlocks dosent get rid of branding, i would go for the T Mobile version as i beleive the Voda branding is a bit dire

Very risky using 2 vouchers, would'nt be supprised if they take the £23.50 one off
#17
Before you buy a Samsung phone, try googling 'samsung crack screen'.
You have been warned!:-(

The program only unlocks dosent get rid of branding....

Yeah I realise unlocking it wouldn't get rid of the branding in the menues....I think the phone would have to be flashed with new software for this

Vodafone & Orange love to do this to their phones :x

Just wondering if the T-mobile version has an branding on the handset itself?
#19
Orderd one for the trouble and strife. Cheers to OP. Have and extra green block
#20
Has anyone got the 20 quid discount appearing on the Order Tracking page?
#21
Okay... I just rang them, and apparantly the £20 is charged to your card then refunded five days later. So, have been told it is coming my way.... even with the additional ten percent. It was worrying though, seeing the price listed wrong in the tracker.... but it is there and valid of on the system. Still have to see if that quidco appears. lol
#22
to unlock the phone i found this

Apparently, you can unlock your phone (ie allow it to accept SIM cards from any network) using the ''full reset'' code - *2767*3855#
#23
Only just realised they took the full £82.50 from my card, we will get the discount back????
#24
or i found this as well:
you need this software,
download it here.
http://www.schwantz-i.org/samsung/E900-E910-X810-D800...%20EMINEMGSM.zip
then type the password to open
i-ztnawhcs
remove sim card from phone
connect usb cable, the one that came with your phone.
open software.
goto "Set write settings"
select the type of phone you have.
that being "SGH-E900"
then set the port number your phone is on.
this can be found by doing the following;

right click on the my computer icon.
select properties
then select hardware.
scroll through until you see ports
left click on this
you will see i description of the phone and the port number it is working on.
ie
samsung SGH-E900(port 6)
close the hardware profiles and then select the port number as detailed

press the ok putton.

scroll down and you will see an icon that is now highlighted saying Unlock.
left click on it.
the screen will go green and say passed.

Samsung SGH-E900 now unlocked.

WARNING DO NOT USE ANY OF THE OTHER FUNCTIONS TO THIS SOFTWARE.

I HAVE TRIED THIS SOFTWARE AS "WORKING" AND WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE CAUSED

The £20 should be discounted off the card, my order summary shows order value £74.60 so will expect the £23.50 to be applied to my card in the next week-thats what they have done in the past. Funny, my Quidco shows order value as £43!

for unlocking info read this thread

http://www.expansys.com/ft.aspx?i=133171&thread=150&page=6

safest way to properly unlock (ie permanant) is to pay network (price varies) or take to reliable market trader and pay £10
#26
Hi OnTheBallCity

Thanks, just used the codes to get a Sony Ericsson Z310i for £42.10 for my mam, the e900 touch keys would be to complictated for her. lol.
#29
Argh! I've just received mine this week, ordered from Carphone Warehouse for £90, and that was a replacement for a faulty D900 at that, preferred the D900, the E900 is a bit slower.

But on Vodafone it is unbranded and unlocked, at least the one I received was. Firmware is easy to flash though.

carphone warehouse phones are gen unbranded and unlocked:thumbsup:

Really want to go for this, just not 100% sure the codes will work without hassle! Are those of you who are getting it to work new credit account customers or just paying by debit/credit cards?

Ahh. Well, it saved me the hassle of unlocking it anyway! Although I went and flashed the firmware so I guess it didn't really matter...

Just to confirm, this software does work. Just used it to unlock the wifes E900. If it hadn't I would be wearing ladies pants by morning:whistling: Was a bit wary because I used some crappy chinese flash on a Panasonic GD55 a few years back and it trashed the IMEI. Checked her phone with a T-Mobile sim and it worked fine and the IMEI was unchanged:thumbsup:

Sorely tempted to try and bag a black T-mobile one now and use it on O2......
#37
There is an E250 on the site, with both discounts comes to £31 Well spotted!
#38
Great value well spotted
#39
Good, neede apink phone for the wife, hope the codes work.
#40
F****it. Too tempting. Went for the black Voda due for delivery monday. As for the battery, wifes had one for a week and charged it twice, so not bad going in my book and as its free to unlock... Well....

Hopefully it'll work well with the Gear4 headphones that are also winging their way from Amazon:whistling:
