It would be nice to know if this comes locked or not, knowing in advance if extra cost and hassle is needed to unlock it.

Unlocked myself in two minutes, really simple as cable provided with phone.
Wouldn't buy it again. Yes, nice phone, but battery is ****, had to charge every 36 hours which wasn't acceptable for me.

got one from littlewoods 39.99 was posted on here you can get unlocking clip on ebay for about fiver ps how do you unlock it with pc
#12
You can unlock this for freee -

1. If you have changed your phone password, change your password back to the default 8 zeros (00000000).
1a. NOTE (Modification here by my experience): Goto SETTINGS, SECURITY, then SIM LOCK and disable this before proceeding.
2. Put a SIM card that is from a network other than the one your phone is locked to
3. When Incorrect SIM error comes up, type *#9998*3323#.
4. White screen will appear with an exit option. Press the right softkey.
5. From the menu that appears, select the Malloc Fail option. This will reboot the phone and the normal service screens will appear.
6. Type *0141# and then press the green call key. "Personalization" or "Personalized" will appear.
7. Turn off your phone and put the original SIM back in.
8. Turn on your phone. You will receive a prompt to enter a password.
9. Type 8 zeros (00000000) (This is because the SIM LOCK mentioned earlier gets switched back on)
10. Completed. You have now unlocked your phone.

tested on e900 and d900 phones - may work on similar models but not sure
ps this will work with your new sim but if you try anither sim not used in that phone bofre it will need code doing again

I unlocked mine using a cable, but the different is...I paid 150 for mine back a few months ago.

*dies*.

just got this for the wife, it was 2nd hand on ebay but was in mint condition, already unlocked and was £52 inc special delivery, so shes happy!
#17
That doesnt unlock this phone i spent hours searching and tried this everytime u turn the phone off and back on this has to be repeated i finally unlocked it with the cable provided but its not for the faint hearted or those who dont have a good knowledge of a pc.

I also think this is expensive i got myself a d900 earlier for £46 which is a better phone by miles. Me and the missis both had a e900 i sold mine as i thought itwas rubbish i hated the touch screen was canelling calls all the time as it was very sensitive the camera was rubbish it was almost impossible to take a good shot as the camera showed every tiny bit of shake.

Now the missis is getting shut of hers to this is 1 to avoid voted cold

Any Vodafone locked mobile will work with a monthly or PAYG Vodafone sim (assuming no 3g USIMs in older 2g mobiles)

i assume you cant run tomtom on this... anyone got a tomtom compatibility list? im not sure which phones can do it! the tomtom site is really out dated! tia

This phone currently on Price drop tv. On vodafone network and is sold on price drop auction and has been selling for about £20 with £7.99 postage (and £1.50 for phone call or free via web).

I've had one of these (no, it won't run tomtom!) and they're a nice looking phone but I had the same experience as polly69 - the touch sensitive buttons drove me insane. If you have anything other than tiny lady fingers don't bother, or you'll always be cancelling out of text messages by accident!

I cant see any e900's on the price drop tv website, and the phones they have got are expensive.
