I've got this phone, all around it's quite good, other than the touch sensitive buttons being useless, especially the "cancel" one :/
I also found the OS kinda irritating, especially when it comes to texting.

Other than that though, i like it.
Can i use this phone with any provider or PAYG or is it locked, any advice i have to get daughter a mobile and want to put her on ASDA payg..ta:w00t:

This phone will be locked to Vodafone... but Asda mobile use the Vodafone network so you can use one of their sims in this phone.
You can unlock your phone by following these instructions properly. I have done and it DOES work!

Unlock it for free using this unlock code -

Please note - I accept NO responsibility for this SO YOU TRY IT AT YOUR OWN RISK.

You can unlock your phone by following these instructions properly.

Follow these simple instructions -

First, Whack in a non-voda sim, and at the wrong sim prompt, type in *#9998*3323#

press exit and then select "malloc fail" from the menu and wait for it to finish/reboot ...

Now type *0141# and then hit call (and get a message saying your phone is personalized)

Power down phone and insert a different provider SIM card other than the one that was in it.

Power back up your phone and at the SIM code prompt type 00000000, (that is 8 zeroes.)

You've now unlocked your E900
use the following code to unlock the phone....
Press exit

then choose Maloc fail

Each time you turn the phone off you will have to input this soft mod code...

I find the touch sensitive display v v sensitive and the menu is not very intuitive...
i've had mine for 2-3 months and the screen broke :( thats the only phone i've ever had that did this. Nice phone, but not v robust.
this phone has been around for a long time but great price so heat added
I would avoid buying this as its not as good as it looks. When texting the touch sensitive buttons will annoy the hell out of you and im sure you will hate it after using it for two days.
Might be cheap but i think you are better off saving a little more money and getting something better.
i have this phone and I hate it, i wish it would break so i had a valid excuse for buying a new one. The touch-sensitive buttons are a nightmare. You'll be in the middle of texting or basically doing any kind of operation but just brush the 'cancel' button even lightly and it will cancel whatever you were in the middle of doing. it does my nut in!
I have had this phone for 3 years. It got retired as my main phone after the 12 month contract it came with as the touch buttons are annoying. It is pretty solid though and has a good battery life. I use it as my holiday / festival / really heavy drinking phone so I don't worry about loosing or breaking one I care about. For £35 it is fully featured and works well with MMS, has a camera, plays MP3's, etc. It uses MicroSD RAM so is cheap to use as an MP3 player and it has a good PC software package.
I've had this phone for a couple of years - it has some irritating limitations and bugs, and a rubbish onboard mp3 player. Also I second blammo in that it has annoying "touch" buttons that you can easily accidentally brush past and delete the text you were typing.

I've learnt to get along with it for the time being, until the Palm Pre hits these shores...

By the way, it can be unlocked (as above) and firmware upgraded - see this forum for handy bits and bobs:
This is llike the worst phone in the world, IMHO stay clear you will regret buying it, crap battery life crap to use texting a nightmare...steer clear.
Horrible phone, always crashes and the touch bottons are a joke. Avoid this phone.
