you should also get £10.00 voucher if you spend more than £100.00 so this will bring down to £419.33

Don't forget Quidco/TCB 5%

Good find hot from me

I've read that the 5000 series are significantly better than the 6000 series if you're not bothered about the 3D, really good price though.
Great spot thanks OP.

Hmm, this is half the price of the 6900 I was thinking of getting.
#5
I was looking at the 6710, they're waaay sexier but I dunno if I can justify £400 more as the picture really is pretty damn similar, saw them in Selfridges playing the same Bluray on the same input, if I didn't know which was which I don't think I could have told the difference.

Given up trying to order online, don't know if it's my phone or their website but keeps emptying the basket. I have managed to reserve it locally, gone for the offer with the blue ray player for an e tea £49, so £479 for tv and blu ray player.

Does anyone know how this TV compares to the UE40EH5300 (amazon) which is £439 and has smart tv features?
#9
seems a bit thick in the depth, most leds are very slim, it's a shame becuase this is exactly what i been looking for, any alternatives?

This shouldnt be an issue anymore, all TV's should come with 4 as standard! it really puts me off.

My amp has four so its not a problem for me, but not everyone has an AV receiver

I was interested until I saw it was 93.1mm in depth http://www.samsung.com/uk/consumer/tv-audio-video/television/led-tv/UE40EH6030KXXU-spec Apart from that it's ok.

I think you missed the joke....

It is so deep as the backlight is actually behind the screen and not at the edges. This allows the frame to be thin though
#24
Does anyone know if this 3D tv is passive or active?
#25
active... Ive got one on reservation. Do i dont i.....
#26
Reserved.
Which is good
active or passive
Edge or backlight.

This tv is ticking all the criteria except no of hdmi port. So i m keep thinking.

Hmmm... on the Argos website it says:

Edge-lit LED TV Screen.

Then again, they seem to think it has 10 speakers:

10 x 2 watts RMS power output

:D

There is no mention of PVR functionality, which is a shame, otherwise it seems a pretty good spec.

Review anyone??

Got this TV yesterday. Took a while (in my opinion at least) to get the image sorted out to how I liked it. Great TV in high def. Used the £10 argos voucher to get a 3D blu ray too. Very happy with this purchase. Extra pairs of glasses are only around £15 each which is good.

@Destructabomb - Totally agree with you; this is a great TV. I'm still trying to get a grip with the settings though - could you PM me yours as it would be great to try them?

Having problems with the picture qualily mainly on recorded programs as they seem to be speeded up and very bright , cant find any settings to change this , would appreciate if anyone could help. GT

Fantastic TV for those who are at the tipping point :)

Tried watching Olympics in 3D which wasnt really great - however, need to try a 3D Blu ray before giving a final verdict on it...

Argos keeps increasing the price. First it was 429 and then it went up to 449.99 and now it is 499.99. Ridiculous!
