Samsung ES15 Camera - £30.00 @ Morrisons

I got this camera for £60 off Amazon a few months ago. £30 for a 10.2mp camera with 3x optical zoom and a 2.5" screen is a steal in my opinion. I saw this in the Morrisons in Lutterworth, but don't know if it's store specific. It was in a glass case, at the front of the store, behind the checkouts.

Details from Amazon:

* 10MP sensor, 3x optical zoom
* Face detection, digital image stabilisation, beauty shot retouching facility
* Red-eye flash, reduction photo help guide
* Auto contrast balance
* Movie mode (VGA 30fps- MJPEG)

EDIT: CONFIRMED NOT STORE SPECIFIC!

#3
how much is this rrp?
#4
Not sure, it's on Amazon for £50 though ;)

Not store specific, I bought this on Wednesday. They had the cards that you take to the till out priced at £60 but it said £30 in the cabinet, and that's the price it scanned at.

Quality, heat added

Just got one of these from the Harrogate store, bargain!

They also had a 10mp Kodak one for £29.98, and an 8.2mp Kodak one for just £19.98!

Great deal. Good reviews too. H&R

Bought this is pink from amazon for 39.99 a couple of months ago and love it!!

Don't go mad over megapixels, Samsung and Kodak make distinctly average cameras. For £30 though it's a good deal. I have a Kodak 14.2Mp camera and it's rubbish.

We had this camera but returned to the store.

Eats batteries for breakfast, lunch & dinner - only managed a few shots on brand new batteries.

Tried rechargeables, duracells and other brands.

Picture quality is good for the price.

Eats em for breakfat dinner and tea for me... But I am a northerner! Heheh.

Great wee camera for the money. Bought one yesterday to stick in my pocket on days out. £78 on Amazon

I bought 2 from the Felixstowe store, one for my daughter and one for myself! off on hols tomorrow so will try it out then.
#17
very nice, but don't always go with the megapixels.

Bought this camera about 6 months ago for about £80. Great camera, I don't think I have ever took a photo that was over 3 Megapixels to be honest, there is no point unless you are blowing it up for a canvas or something like that.

Great Deal, just got two from the Byker Branch.

They had these in Johnstone earlier today.

Went back today and picked up another for a birthday present :)

My sister bought it three month ago from ASDA at £39.... Image Quality is not better as compared with my 8 Mega Pix Nikon S51, but great value for money. Great deal !!!

What's with all the Morrisons bargains? They closing down or something? :P
#23
amazing how many people think megapixles are what makes a camera good. Try getting one with a good lense, I bet my old 4mp canon would eat some of this 10/12mp samsung & kodak crap for breakfast in terms of image quality.

Well i picked one up from woking morrisons (still about 4 left, and one kodak D142 @ £27 is anyones interested) and i'm impressed so far. Pictue quality seems good, flash is good and took a few pictures in a dark room with excellent results. Also small and easy to use. I'll have some more play time with it tonight and report if my opinion changes but for the money, bargain i think.

Regaridng the comment on betteries i can't comment but i have rechargables for my SLR so i'd just take a spare set with me.

I have just bought one of these and have a 4 meg canon powershot s40 this compares v well and the canon was £400 plus when bought

Samsung used to be and maybe still are a big oem manufacturer for many other camera companies including sony. However that said Sony used to get them to fit better lenses to their cameras. Carl Zeiss? I realise manufacturing and designing are two different things but samsung are state of the art manufacturers with some of the most advanced factories in the world. Just got one of these myself and seems incredibly cheap at £30 for the features it offers. Results seem good too.

Digicam review gives it a recommended buy. For the money you can't buy a better camera with
a 2yr warranty.

dead impressed with the camera :)

Still some at Taunton Morrisons. I originally bought one at Yeovil Morrisons and they are sold out there now but bought another at Taunton and there was a good 5-6 left in the cabinet. The AV section in the taunton store is minimal to say the least. Its just to the right of where they sell the cigarettes.
