Camera has been £59.99 - £69.99 recently, but play.com have just reduced to £59.99 and with the 10% off (available until 28th Dec) makes it £53.99.

does this have anti-shake?

and is x5 suitable for taking pictures at say sports events eg. Wimbledon etc?

i need a new camera after my 14 month old one suddenly stopped powering up, despite me buying a new battery and charger, it refuses to charge.

that is a samsung.

which now puts me off samsung cameras which is odd because my first digital camera was a samsung around 7 years ago, and that one which i have now given away, still is going strong?

i want a little cheapo one as the mrs uses it and she does not look after anything gadgety which i personally think is a crime.

i may have to keep samsung in mind as i am not buying one for more than £80.

WARNING!!!

I ordered one this morning but was unable to find the place where you enter the SECRETSANTA10 voucher code, thinking it might be on the next screen I clicked the submit button and before I knew it I had ordered the damn thing. I immediately emailed play.com and have just phoned them but no joy.

I spent three days looking online for a good deal and this appears to be the best. At first I thought about just looking at the top brands and from buying only from the high street, but being a regular customer I thought that I'd try ordering something other than a DVD from play.com. Can anyone advise on what to do? I know it's only 10% but these are hard times!!!

When you confirm delivery address, on the next screen it says "do you have a promotional code or gift voucher"

OK for a cheapy, but I returned mine to Play this week as not that impressed with the picture quality and it doesn't have anti-shake. I went for this from Amazon, for a few more pounds!

In my opinion, the canons around this price are better, but this is a nice l;ooking little camera, it certainly looks much more expensive than it is.

Ordered one 4th, arrived recently but it was faulty, the flash is very temperamental. Need to go in a very dark room for it to flash, or 'force' it on with fill in. It makes a horrible 'clicking' sound when it flashes & it is too bright so colour is washed out. I presume its just this one that is dodgy.

As it was from 'santa', I couldn't wait for a replacement, so I have ordered another one (at 59.99 bah :() and I have a return code for the faulty one (refund) which I'll send back when the next one arrives.

confused? you will be ..etc etc...

Not phased by those who don't or didn't like the camera. And even though play.com is £30 cheaper than Tesco I'm still not happy at not being able to redeem my 10% off voucher. I think the problem is that it said something like "Click Here of you have a Gift Voucher" and not "Click Here is you have any kind of redeemable voucher"...

I telephoned the play.com helpline but they were unable to help from India. Hoping to still secure my 10% in the form of another voucher. Emailed them but no reply yet.

A few more pounds? It's double the price. Fair enough if you're willing to spend that and you want the quality of a £100+ camera, obviously this won't offer it, but it's great for the price.

'Great' is overstating it a lot. Reevoo's might be good, but my mobile takes better pics!
