This is much better than Ebuyer. Amazon has 3yr warranty. Ebuyer is Grey Import stock. Only 12months. My went dead after 14months.... Found out the expensive way when a 1TB was £70!

Hot!

Good price, but not sure on the reliability of F4 drives over F3
#4
A lot of the F3 drives go whirry(high pitched noise) after a while.
#5
Can anyone shed any light on the firmware nightmare?
#6
Often OEM harware doesn't have a warranty... Sometimes even if it says it does... check this out before buying...
#7
Thanks OP, just ordered....HOT!

I ordered this for £62 on Saturday. Does anyone know if I can get a refund on the difference in price without having to return it?
#9
Yes, Amazon are very good about that sort of thing.

I've got a 1TB drive that 'only' has 200GB left. Am I making my problem worse if I get this then expand my crap even further or should I really try to delete loads of stuff or burn to disc? Opinions/experiences please X)
#11
was that a pun in the description? "probably best in any case"
#12
Just ordered one thanks for the heads up

montblanc, the way I see it, at this price hard drive space is a similar price to DVD-R space (when you work out the £/GB), so by burning a load of discs to reclaim space you would just waste a lot of your time. Better to get a new hard drive (and get more crap!) imo.

If space for hdds is limited in your pc, you could get a SATA/PATA-to-USB adaptor, and use any cheap internal hard drives like they are external ones.
