DOH!!!!

Bought specifically as a monitor, but for secondary use as a TV - Absolutely chuffed - brilliant screen (LED Backlit). I know there are other cheaper devices like this out there, but they tend to look ugly and I had a stipulation from my partner that it couldn't be black - amazing how few monitors out there fit this description. This is kinda brown.

COD MW2 looks brill on this, though the reviews state that its not principally a gaming monitor - don't care, I'm not that good at it anyway!

Cheers! I'll give that a try!

Otherwise you can always send back and re-order to get at the cheaper price. My guess is that if you go to refunds and state a new lower price, Amazon will offer to refund the difference as this is cheaper for them ;)

at £299 it still seems expensive for what it is ...

Thanks, I'm looking for a cheap monitor for a spare PC. I didn't even know there were combined monitor / TVs :) By the way, there are also two slightly smaller models on Amazon for £50 and £80 less.

Anyone know if they are good?

There are loads for about £170, don't buy this poor deal.

Fair enough.
As I said in the post, I know there are quite a few cheaper monitors out there. I did a significant amount of research into monitors before plumping for this one, which met all of my requirements, including 1080p, 24 inches, dvb-t tuner, LED backlighting and a non black frame. I posted the deal because of the 40 quid price drop which makes it a deal if you are looking for this premium monitor - Glad I did as Nicklearse's tip got me a refund!! Im happy!

There are several Tecnika, bush and cello monitors available with similar features (and dvd too) if you are after cheaper brands.

And much as I'd love one, couldn't fit a 32inch screen on my desk.:D
