What is a reconditioned phone?
Reconditioned phones are phones that have come back to Orange through our money-back guarantee. When we get the phones we repair faults, replace parts and re-package them, ready for sale here.

Most people can’t tell the difference between a brand new phone and a reconditioned one. Also, the phones here come with a six-month warranty - this is in addition to your statutory rights.

All our reconditioned phones are on pay as you go, which is good for you because you can decide how much you want to spend each day - there’s no set amount each month.

#8
I have one. It's a good phone, no touch screen. It does what I need from a phone well enough, and the camera is nice. I recommend it.
#9

#10
ive jus placed my order, hope i havnt missed out by not buying a memory card

It takes microSD cards I believe, you can get 1gb for under a fiver on play.com! Infact 2gb may only be about £6 on play.com!

http://www.play.com/Mobiles/Mobile/4-/3251313/-/Product.html - 2gb £6.49

I didnt purchase but the code worked for me. Even if you enter the competition then the code is the same as the attached voucher anyway. Up to you if you want to list the V8! It's only a tenner more in the Orange shop though...hence I went and posted this one which is listed at £150 in the Orange shop

WOW i didnt know the razr 2 was so cheap to buy, thought it was a good price obviously not.

Thank for saving my embarrassment :)

Thx for the deal listing. I really needed a new phone after my k750i (after over 3 yrs) finally broke. Well first the joystick went over a year ago and then the screen went almost white a few months ago and recently I accidently dropped it down the toilet and decided not to charge after that, so woo for the Samsung G600. Thanks for the reference

Hey guys, dont know if i will end up keeping this phone now, hope i can cancel in time ringing them tomorrow, heard mixed reviews, think i impulsed bought, if i cant cancel in time, does anyone know how easy it is to return a reconditioned phone to Orange Accessories? Doesnt look like they cover the delivery return charge, ill probably have to get it recorded also cos i lost a phone recently through royal mail... :( anyway i think im regretting buying now oops! :?
#19
Just wait and give it a try. To be honest you'd prob make a tiny profit selling it on ebay if you aren't happy. At least you can state the exact condition and say you tested that it works!
#20
Ye i've heard mixed reviews for it but I have a couple of friends who have them and they think its a great phone and for £76.49 I dont think you can go wrong. I would rather have gone for a SE again but I definatly dont want a joystick one and dont want one with the stupid buttons they are putting on the K versions. PlusI dont have time to wait for the C versions. So lets hope the good things I heard bout the G600 are true
#21
yeah i think that is the main thing, for this price you cant complain too much, and if all goes wrong then whack it on ebay and buy something else, i'd be surprised if you lost money on this phone! to be honest, i would have gotten it if only it could have personalised message tones. as silly as that sounds, its not as silly as the problem it really is. such a simple thing to do! the preloaded ones just sound daft!
#22
Congrats to anyone who bought this yesterday, it's gone up £10 today!!
#23
If you think about unlocking by code from ebay DO NOT USE #*7337# it will ERASE the imei to 000000000000

I learned the hard way

Ordered two & got them today. Phones are mint but neither have any accessories. I was under the impression that it was pot luck but it seems all you get is the phone, battery, mains charger & user guide. Not even the PAYG SIM as advertised (not that I want them). By the time you add in the cost of the missing accessories it's not quite such a good deal.

Unlocked in seconds via a clip which will be for sale soon (if the rules permit).
#25
Nah, Orange Reconditioned phones never come with anything more than stated! They sell the actual accessories on the same site! Sneaky. When this was £75 on the first day I posted it, that was a deal. Not so much now.

I ordered on Monday so paid £76.49 a piece. Forgot to mention that I did get the Sim Safes so that helps a bit, but I normally have everything backed up anyway. Guess I need to download the PC software & see if it works with bluetooth, although USB cables seem cheap enough on Ebay.

Have some rep.

got mines today, its completey faulty, and now i have to pay to return if for a refund which will prob cost me £6 cos i dont want it lost (lost a phone 2 months ago thanks for royal mail) the phone doesnt load the screen at all, everytime i try turning it on only the keypads light up, the screen is completely black, been trying to get it up for ages, so now looks like ive lost out, cant believe i have to cover the returns cost! so ridiculous since they gave me a useless phone! but the guy points out that their terms and conditions state that the customer must cover cost of postage regardless, what rip! checked the site and their returns policy and it does state the custmer has to cover postage, but it didnt mention anything about recieving a dud phone.

so annoyed, what a hassle :(

Credit to Gingaman1 for spotting that the SIMs (minus any packaging) were buried under the box liner.... :whistling:

I got mine the other day and its great for the price (£71.75, providing quidco pays the £5 cashback) , fine it didnt come with any additional accessories but the usb cable is only like couple of quid and I just got a 2gb mini-sd for £5.50 on play so a great deal overall, perhaps not so much if your paying the £95 priced one without the voucher though, but now I have my blyk sim fitted im all ready to go for free usage :P

Haha bargain!! Yeah the accessories are cheap enough. Good job.

quidco does say

"Please note that your commission will only be received after you activate your phone. It can take up to two months to appear in your transactions listing."

so give it time

Thanks to the OP for this - got one at the original £76, collected from Post Office today.

Be careful if you're unlocking it as some codes zero the IMEI number - as meshosa found out.

This method worked for me (courtesy of http://gsmhosting.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=502451):

1-Turn on the phone without sim card .
2-Pull off the battery cover and insert any non-accepted sim card (without turning off the handset)
3-Do full reset *2767*3855# , phone will reboot and goes to Menu .
4-Customize Sp-lock code *7465625*638*00000000*00000000#
5-Unlock your phone with new SP code #7465625*638*00000000#
6-Enjoy G600 unlocked

Note the 0's were represented on my phone as hyphens.

It doesn't matter what their t&c's say if the phone is faulty then you definitely do not have to pay to return it
