Samsung Galaxy Ace on talkmobile, 50 mins + 150 Texts + 250MB data £9.99 per month (24 month contract) @ Mobiles.co.uk £239.76

REDEMTION deal so may not suit folk who can't be bothered claiming at specific intervals.

Over the past three years I've had three redemption deals with mobiles.co.uk and not a single problem with cashback claims. Like best the opportunity to e-mail claims as opposed to having to post them, special delivery costs and all that. But this is my experience.

Here is the deal with this phone.
24 months at £9.99pm = £239.76 - this is what you have to pay
Line rental: 18 months at £0.99 + 6 months at £9.99 = £77.76 total cost after redemption, this equates to £3.24 pm
Potential cashback from Quidco: £80 - THIS IS WRONG. NOW CONFIRMED AS £30
So the effective cost, after Quidco and redemption, may turn out to be £47.76, which is £1.99 per month for the duration of the two-year contract.
Not planning to use the SIMs at all(does not offer very much anyway), phone supposed to be unlock so will just put in my currents SIms

Placed two orders for the kids.

Comes with Froyo but apparently easy to upgrade to Gingerbread,

Here is some stuff about claiming cashback copied from my order:
Your line rental discount
Your offer = 18 Months £0.99 by redemption. What appears on your bill = £9.99.
How do you claim the discounted line rental?
Send your 6th, 9th, 12th, 15th and 18th monthly bills within 60 days of the date stated on the relevant airtime bills to us and we will credit you by cheque with £32.40.
This will save you £162.00 over the 24 month duration of the contract. In effect this means that your average line rental per month over the contract period is £3.24 per month.

I'm a bit confused. Do you pay a Tenna a month, every now and again the company gives you what equates to £9 for 18 months. Meaning you only pay about £80 over the two years.
But then there is also £80 quidco available?

I was interested in the note, but this is a lot cheaper if that is how it works.

For those not wanting to risk forgetting to send the bills in etc you can choose automatic cashback.

      9.99 X 24 = 239.76 - 80 (quidco) = 159.76 - 50 = 109.76

So total over 2 years: £109.76 or £4.57 each month.

Completely guaranteed, no need to send CB form in.

      On quidco it states
"Contracts where you receive cash either automatic or by redemption are not classified as a free gift."
      Any idea what this means?

Quidco is £30 for this, not £80.

I received my first (of 4) cashback cheques from Mobiles.co.uk, it was a very easy process, emailed the bill to mobiles.co.uk, I had a text off them the same day to say they had received the claim, then got another text in around 5 days to say the claim was accepted and a cheque would be sent out. Received the cheque about 7 days after.

I also had the £30 cashback from quidco (received it 3 months after taking out the contract).

As long as you can count and be bothered to send the cashback claims off, this is a great way of having a contract for virtually nothing, as soon as my 12 months is finished, I will be taking out another contract through them.

Thanks for posting OP, this deal should be HOT.......

NO idea why this deal ended up cold. Deal is still on. I have now received the two sets I ordered. Both came with the standard black back cover as well as a white back cover, also in the box was a 2GB micro SD with a SD adapter. Both phones came unlocked with Gingerbread 2.3.3. pre-loaded so no need for me to upgrade. The batteries are stamped 03/06/2012 so look like a rather recent manufacture - unless this is the best before date?:| OK, I got it wrong for the Quidco, as ame2418 rightly noted cashback is £30 not £80. Quidco has tracked both transactions. So, after cashback from mobiles.co.uk, effective cost per phone, incl handset price and contract, will be £48 - and not the £2 sth small profit that I mentioned in the original post. I thought the whole point of this site was to save us money, and I sincerely hope that someone of the users of this site will benefit from my deal. If one wants to save money very much, one will not forget to claim on time - the phone offers a calendar function with setting reminders.I know of people that would rather buy not as good phone, pay for the unlock, and then add a contract or £10 per month pay-as-u-go. A neighbour did just that as she could not be bothered claiming. And then follows "Sorry I can't afford to go out tonight". As they say, "you can lead a horse to water....":p
MODs - please unexpire. I have also amended the potential cashback from Quidco. Thanks.
