Samsung Galaxy Camera. This one is the 1st generation camera in white. brilliant camera for the price. I paid 200 for mine from jessops last summer. looks like its online only. I find having android on a camera really useful for editing and saving photos.

Hope this helps someone

Fantastic deal for this camera. There are loads of these second hand on eBay for around £135.

Yes you will need a micro sim with a data plan if you want to utilise the 3g. Or alternatively you could just use the wifi to share pictures when your connected to a wifi hotspot
#5
If you want to use the 3G functions (Internet) then yes you will need to insert a SIM card into the unit, the camera will work fine without a SIM card but obviously will need to be within range of a Wifi access point to get access to the internet

For those that do not know, despite being 3g, this does not allow you to make voice calls.

Great price for a nice Galaxy camera!

Great deal, ordered thanks op

Can somebody please explain the benefit in having one of these over simply using the camera in my S5?

I don't see "phone" in the title anyway.

It seems to cost £200+ everywhere else, where's the catch?

Well done to you.

But that doesn't stop people mis-comprehending the feature set (particularly when they see it has 3g and Android) which is why I thought I would clarify for those less in the know.

Hot deal, I would consider this if I was after a camera

bit slow but ordered one cause its cheap ..

Looks very good.
I've got the similar WiFi only version, only problem I have found with it is the flash always feels a bit flimsy.

Sadly not, although I did find this:

This is one of those deals on HOTUKDEALS that you can use for one year and probably resell for profit when you sell.

Pity i have 4 cameras and one camcorder.
#28
Guessing this is a stock error - this is discontinued and been out of stock for ages and now they have hundreds in stock?
Something not quite right here...........
#29
Looks like a good deal and my camera recently broke so I went for one. Thanks OP

I think a few people get these mixed up with the K Zoom http://www.samsung.com/uk/consumer/mobile-devices/smartphones/android/SM-C1150ZKABTU

Understandably so, they look similar.

Might be worth checking if the 20 minute video length limitation still exists on this GC100.

(Problems with Samsung Galaxy Camera EK-GC100 various & diverse)

If there getting confused they need glasses more than a camera :p

Heat added; thank you op.

Had to order it via telephone as the website on my tablet wouldn't process the order! Been waiting for this to drop in price for ages...
#34
these are really good and easy to use cameras, i used to sell them and when they first came out was quite amazed at them used to show them off all the time, great buy and fantastic price have heat
#35
At higher prices this wasn't really worth paying for, it's just a generic point and shoot which trades battery life for Android functionality, but at this price it's as cheap or cheaper than most similarly spec'd compacts and well worth looking into!

Well considering I got this bought 2 or 3 Christmases ago, and having paid £399 for it. This is an absolute steal!!! Takes great pictures & having Android on board as well. I think its 4.1.2 last time I checked and hasn't been upgraded since being bought.
