Alternative to the current Vodaphone deal and it should be unlocked so no messing about with unlock codes.

Only PAYG upgrade available is Vodafone at £90
Cheapest new sim deal is O2 at £100 + £10 top up

As far as I am aware the top up is entered onto the new sim so you don't get a top up voucher

I have bought 3 phones over the last 4 years from CPW and they all came unlocked.
Surprised the greedy bosses at DSG who now own CPW have not put an end to this.

A glance at GSM Arena suggest that this has less RAM (1.5GB vs 2GB), less storage (8GB vs 16GB), lower resolution screen (720 x 1280 vs 1080 x 1920) and lower spec processor (Snapdragon 410 vs Snapdragon 615).

I think its better for them in a way as they dont need to stock phones form all the different networks only sim cards. Also I think it would loose them a lot of custom. I buy phones there because they are unlocked and I suspect a lot of other people do as well. I refuse to buy a locked phone.

Got it this morning 110 not tied into network does not have nfc but good value for the money no contract. Most people won't use 70 percent of the functionality on the phones anyway so think what you actually need and put the rest of the cash in a pension for the bankers to gamble it.

What a load of........................... COMMON SENSE!

At the end of the day eveyone buys a mobile for their own reasons. Whether it be for social media, photos, music, texting or even making the odd phone call!
It does seem a lot of phone for the money though, despite any negative comments that there may be.

so if I have a talktalk sim would this work would it not ?
#15
hey thanks, the cheapest unlock codes i can see for this cost around £7.50 so this is a decent deal to avoid the hassle, with no vodafone branding either i guess.

also gold option is exclusive if that's your thing.. not really mine haha

Samsung probably better camera, better screen type, and smaller. and better build likely. GLONASS, and possibly NFC? so depends what you want.

dual sim, anyone know?

Just looking at this phone, how are you getting on with it after a week of use?

Yeah they state most of their phones come unlocked. I obviously got unlucky. I bought the black version. Cost about £12 to unlock.

It is rather large being 5 inches, but that actually seems to be the norm these days.

Carphone Warehouse tell you most of their phones come unlocked, not all. Meaning if you get a locked phone, you can't return it for an unlocked phone. Besides, technically they should all be locked if you are paying for the network and therefore got the phone at a subsidised price.

by most of is phones it means Apple phones and a few other manufacturers. as they pick to the first sim inserted. your phone should have been unlocked
#31
did you get putting a different sim in before unlocking it

Having bought mine back at the end of January I have to say it's the best phone I've owned!
Why on earth anyone needs to spend a fortune on anything more expensive ................ must only be for your image.............? In which case start saving now for your cosmetic surgery when you retire!!!
