Not too bad a phone but very bulky, battery life was utter poop and the camera wasn't actually very good aside from the optical zoom option. in comparison the 1020 I had at the same time took far sharper photos.

Unless you really value having optical zoom on a phone - like, REALLY - there isn't much value to this device in my opinion. the display was just 'OK' - definitely not up with other Samsung displays of the last 18 months though. The device does not feel very balanced and friendly in the hand - it is definitely more camera than phone. The Note 4 and a variety of other phones from this year also take far better quality photos aside from lacking the option to zoom in, but who values that more than overall quality?

I would say that there are better things to spend this amount of money on.

One other thing to consider is that Samsung often leave their 'niche' devices in the lurch when it comes to updates. It is very likely that this will never see Lollipop - so that's also worth considering.

I had thus device for a few weeks and kind of liked its quirkiness but I definitely wouldn't touch one again. currently using an LG G3 which I think produces better photos in most circumstances, as well as having far better specs in every other area.
my partner got this camera/phone came as new and i think its a cracking bit of kit and takes excellent photos better than our Canon Powershot SX600 HS which get very good reviews which we have now sold what i am impressed about is the quality of the pics in low light on auto with flash on fill in rather than flash auto the pics are great even with disco lights on in back ground, much better than my note 2lte which i thought took great pics but not a patch on this, its no galaxy s5 as a phone but its an ok phone with a great camera.

cheers op
