They don't allow posts from mobiles.co.uk. I think. I posted a deal which was removed awhile ago.

It was because I linked through from another site, that is why it was initially removed. The other site was owned by an individual.

If you pay an extra £70 you can get a refurbished GS instead!

Until I got my gs2 my gs was the best phone I ever had. Great phone for a great price

Nice price for a fairly great spec, just upgraded mine to 2.3.3 on the weekend.

Download and install Kies then connect the phone to your PC, the phone should then update to the lastest firmware available

You can get this for £92.94 after redemption and quidco, its a contract, so you get 100mins and texts, plus unlimited inet too.

If you can bothered with redemption and quidco, then go for it.

Sorry, mistake. You can get the Galaxy Ace/Wildfire S, not the Galaxy S.

Anyone know if I need to bother with a screen protector?

Ive had one for a year and never used a screen protector and i have zero scratches, the gorilla glass is very good, i even read somewhere you can cliam for scratches under warrenty.
#25
Thanks, what about the back, is it worth getting a case for it?

its up to you really, they can easily be replaced for £10 off ebay if they get scratched up. I did get a cover as the phone didnt feel stable in my hand as its quite shiney/slippy.

Thanks very much.

I've always used a screen protector and a cheap gel case. If nothing else, you can feel more confident and secure about it when it's in your pocket or bag etc. Gel case, 99p. Screen protectors, pack of 3, 99p. Worth investing such a small amount, just in case!

reallly good price

Got this phone last week as a cheap upgrade from Vodafone.
Now running 2.3.3 after updating via KIES.
Anyone looking for a case should consider the Case Mate 'barely there' - Play.com have then for 9.99 just now - just waiting for mine to turn up.

p.s. after the 2.3.3. update, my battery lasts way longer now:)

They do look strikingly similar, can you see the shackles on the iDevice though? ;)
