Is there a better deal for 18-month contract?.
e2save has a 24-month deal for about £20 pm on Orange, but their 3G coverage in London is very poor.

This is only the 8gb version.

You can buy a 8GB memory card for about £12.50.

Stay clear of these 18-24month contracts! They are only worth the hassle with the Iphone. The sim only 30 day rolling contracts are getting cheaper by the day! Best advice to look at cheaper alternatives

I would have preferred a 12-month contract, but the cheapest I could find was £20 pm + £250 for the phone from Tesco. So, £490 for 12-months.

YMMV. Only stay clear if you need to. Some people are happy paying this AND getting a top notch smart phone without forking out up front.

Re: Froyo, did you root & goldcard etc? or is there a specific Samsung way? I've done my HTC Desire but the Mrs is lacking certain features on the Galaxy S that I know she'll get once the official Froyo comes along.

Hiya, also on Orange is the £27.50 p/m 18 months with Phones4u which I think was posted before. Keep in mind that Orange are soon to be sharing signal with T-mobile and that Vodafone aren't price competitive on contracts (similar to o2 really)

Won't apply to their 3g network I'm afraid (not yet at least) only the voice (2g) will be shared so t-mobile stand to benefit more from the sharing than Orange do.
