This deal is available through e2save (CPW's daughter company) and even though it's offering the phone at a higher price than CPW did a few days ago (£249.99 upfront as opposed to £309.99) it has an exclusive £55 cashback from quidco now just for the SGS2.

Contract:
£20/month
200 minutes
1000 texts
unlimited data on Talk Mobile who use Vodafone's network and for now only have a requirement not to damage the experience of other users on the network. Here's part of their FUP:

There is no limit on mobile internet usage on Smartplans which include "Unlimited" data access. However if Talk Mobile feels that your data usage is so excessive that other customers are detrimentally affected and/or they are concerned about fraud, they may introduce a fair use policy.

If Talk Mobile publish a policy they will let you know. Any such policy may change from time to time, including where we introduce new Services which may require certain rules to ensure such new Services can be enjoyed by our customers. If, once they have implemented such a policy, your use of the Service is excessive, is causing problems for other users and you continue to use the Service excessively they may suspend all or some of the Services.

The upfront cost is 309.99 and you can get £55 cashback through Quidco.

Vote hot or not.

For information's sake, the other deal on CPW has expired already.

I am using galaxy s now is it worth upgrading to s2.....?

Hi. It depends on how much money you can spend because if I was you I would upgrade if I could but that's just me.
Faster processor, better screen (instead of getting 2xgreen, 1xred, 1xblue subpixels per pixel you get one of each which increase res by 25% or sth along those lines), better camera and Gingerbread 2.3.3 are among the things that make this phone. Probably missing out on some stuff but you can check the specs on google yourself.

It's a rather personal choice, really.

Like he sais. But for me personally, I couldn't justify paying all that extra cash for something you wont see huge performance increase in. Firstly, look to XDA developers - custom roms, which make stock look amateur in terms of speed and performance.

See, that's the thing. I don't have a smartphone at the moment and SGS2 as a first one is amazing. I am sure its resale value will hold up as well.

Another thing to add in relation to custom roms and XDA is that apparently the phone was overclocked to 1.5GHz today!

Can't figure out who decided to vote this cold but would like hear some reasons or others were right - some people just vote cold for the sake of it. This is pretty much the same as that CPW deal and that was (and still is) steaming hot. I suppose a lot of people will lose out because someone decided to vote cold randomly :D.

Geez, I would prefer if you don't post lies on my thread. SGS2 is superior to the iPhone in hardware in every aspect baring build materials and screen resolution (not screen mind you). I gather you're one of those who voted this down... If you don't like it, leave it. It's about the deal, which with this phone that goes for £500 sim free at the moment is quite good.

I'm not sure why people think the iPhone is superior. This has a dual core processor, for crying out loud!

The I-Phone is superior because of the App Store. In terms of dual core this and that, who cares!! Its a goddam phone not a laptop! And if you're prepared to spend this much upfront for a phone and still be tied to a contract you need your head examining in my opinion.

The iPhone is also superior because it comes in white.

Iphones lol yes that wonderful mind conrtol device :p oooo I must get one because every one else is......NOT!!!!! In all honesty for £20 that really isn't a good tariff more so the 200 minutes considering the upfront cost of the phone either probably why people have voted cold

If you look at the same deal on CPW it's at 400C. I don't really care if people vote cold but the phone costs £500 on its own and this gives you REAL unlimited data. Some people (like myself :P) don't really care about minutes when you have skype and other VoIP applications. I can't see why this is much different than the £490 deal at CPW.

Fine by me as I don't really care :D.

hot for me as i have it; will be interesting to see when the iphone 5 comes out how much upfront cost of handset to get a 12 month contract on £20 a month give this a thought

Quite a large upfront cost
#14
My Iphone 3gs was £185 upfront and then £30 a month for 18 months for a paltry 75 mins talk time, never again, for me this is a good deal as is only 12months and quidco should make the upfront cost a little better. heat added

Mrew42, I think your answer to that amazing piece of genius was too sophisticated for him. I suggest you using something more basic that just works. Like what Apple advises :D.
Thanks for the laugh.

I bet you the next iphone will have dual core!!!

It would have been more convincing if you have used the retina display to support your points, instead of app store which is also available on Android, and the dual core processor - which is obviously going to be on the next iphone.

I do however agree it is kinda crazy to pay this kind of money for a phone - that is why I didn't get an iphone...
