Samsung Galaxy S III, 300mins/Unltd txt and 750mb data + 2 years insurance for £26pm/24mth + £50 phone @ Tesco £674.00

hitmanthitmant

Wanna make this clear, this is for the people who actually want the mins/txt/data!!!

The main thing is the free insurance over the 2 years! Pretty much 26pm + a potentially (50-35 quidco) £15 for the handset cost and you get the S3, 300mins, unlimited txt 750mb data and 2 years free insurance

Same as this deal:

http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/samsung-galaxy-s3-26-per-month-24mths-t-mobile-no-handset-cost-300-minutes-unlimited-1229150

but adds 2 year insurance for £50

I'm quite clumsy so I think this is a pretty good deal

Insurance covers:

Loss
Theft
Accidental Damage
Malicious Damage
Water & Liquid Damage

More info here:

With a phone this expensive I really think it's worth having insurance!

"300 mins/500 texts" on Tesco's website, a mistake with them or the HUKD listing?

as i understand it, t-mobile internet is unlimited apart from streaming?

so do they include youtube as streaming? or by streaming do they mean things like lovefilm?

Youtube counts. You get basic browsing and email access only.

Wish my contract was up, I'd be all over this if it was.

I bought a Galaxy Note (love the phone BTW) through Tesco on the 8th June.

I've just called the number for the free phone insurance and it started on the 14th June so I can't claim it. Typical!

PS - This is a stunning deal if you want an S3!

I would have went for this but its Tmobile - which is rubbish where I live.

Tempting, but I couldn't live with 750MB data, I need much more than that

So can't you use skygo on t-mobile? How does it restrict do they charge or just don't allow? I was thinking about this deal and then tether to my iPad, would this not work?

I saw this deal this morning but backed off due to the TESCO network. Im currently with Talk Mobile (Vodafone) but the 3g is flakey to say the least so im sceptical (perhaps unduely so in this case) about 3rd party carriers.

I cant see how 3rd party 'piggy-backing' would give you a better service than the principal provider.

Does anyone have any feedback on TESCO mobile on the whole?

    Do they use O2?

Ok if you can actually get a signal on 3. The 2 people I know on 3 can't wait till their contract ends.

How is Orange? TM autoswitches to that if it cannot pick up a good signal, which is the case at home for me. I get a signal/3G everywhere now.

I bought my iPhone from Tesco and Tesco does piggy back on O2. No tethering on the iPhone, even if O2 allows it - maybe you can find a way around that on Android. 2G was fine, but 3G was extremely spotty and rarely found outside of major cities. Switched to TM when my 12 month contract finished and couldn't be happier.

Watch your Clubcard points because Tesco "forgot" to add those on at the correct rate several times over the contract. Tesco also lied to me about the effective end date of my contract so the I could get my PAC and I ended up getting charged for 13 months.

The 12 month contracts were extremely attractive since all other carriers were going onto 18-24 month contracts only, but I don't rate Tesco/O2 as a carrier.

For those asking, I got this phone from tesco/t-mobile (unfortunately BEFORE the free insurance deal came out:), and it is unlocked and unbranded.
