Currently have an S2. How do these compare? Battery life a lot better?

It's like going from a Ford ka to a top end BMW with a Ford Ka engine.

fixed it

Has to be the best phone ever made. Accessories like those mega batteries make it a legend. No need to wait a month to buy a copy for £600

Heat added. Would be rude not to at this price.

Superb deal.

Pity it is for an upgrade, I only have a Virgin SIM. For £129 I would seriously consider this.

This, root it and flash android revolution hd for awesome battery life

You can currently only upgrade on O2, Orange, T-Mobile, Vodafone and Virgin networks. On Three so no use to me, but good deal for those who can.

You only a need a friend or family member who is eligible for a PAYG upgrade to let you use their number. The handset is sim free anyway so can use it with whatever network you like.

Sorry for the dumb questions, but I'm on PAYG with EE with a crappy old Samsung phone. Not on a contract of any type. What is an "upgrade" as opposed to just buying the phone and putting my Simcard in it? I thought Upgrades were for if you were paying a monthly contract for phone and tariff and wanted to change your phone to a newer/better model. Don't understand what a PAYG upgrade is.

I was looking to get a MotoG but if this is better I might get one of these instead.

Can't seem to sway from my iPhone but i remember having this phone and was very impressed, even now the specs aren't lagging behind. Still has more than enough to run everything. The only negative (A big negative) is that Samsung have stopped updating it I think. Though I'm sure many will just root and install custom roms anyway.

It's not a case of honouring them, they type the PAYG number into system which is pinged to the network and back to say if the number is eligible. They have no way of by bypassing that.

no

Great phone, only issue I had was 4.3 JB update (which wasn't sure it was going to get) doing the old 'battery eating' (has S2 do similar), but a factory reset (after a backup) seems to have sorted that out again

It'll be stuck on Android Jelly Bean for life (officially), but my old S3 had the best wi-fi and GPS reception I've ever seen in a phone, the battery life was stellar with the official Samsung extended battery, and everything was pretty flawless. I miss it!

The camera on this is far superior, more internal storage, sd card, s3 has NFC and is far more aesthetically pleasing.

The down points to the S3 are no 4.4, touchwiz is awful and no 4g.

I'd stick with your Moto G personally, as you'll have to put money towards this. It's not a massive upgrade from a Moto G (if at all).

I've owned 3 s3's (lost 2, broke one) and 2 moto G (3g & 4g). I originally preferred the S3 but I find the moto g far more snappier now. I've never installed custom roms on the s3 which may take some of the lag away that touchwizz causes.
