Except you have to take an airtime plan , with a minimum of #12 per month for 24 months.......not such a good deal for me.

you should cancel the airtime plan as soon as you receive the phone and unlock code. are you aware of O2 refresh and how it works?

o2 are likely to charge you the full contract amount when you cancel within 14 days (in error).
Do not worry, let them take the money out.
Once taken, lodge a complaint ask for compensation.
They will refund and offer £50 compensation.
£265.99 may be £215.99.
I just got my £50 today!
My wife got her £50 last January.
o2 are really quite useless, but very reasonable people!

Is this consistently reliable? Has anyone been refused and how much of a hassle is it?

Also what makes this different than trying to cancel any other 24 month contract?

Thanks

Very reliable. Terms are clear.
When the phone arrives, activate the sim. Pay off phone price. Ask for unlatching (unlock), cancel airtime.
If they charge extra complain. My family did 5. 3 were fine, 2 resulted in cancellation charges which were refunded with £50 compensation without even asking for so much ;)
As long as you cancel within 14 days, very little hassle. You can also cancel a 24 month contract within 14 days.

this phone is a disappointment I have own my s6 nearly a year but I can't afford another phone at this stage, hence still stuck with it and won't recommend anybody
the disappointment is the memory 32gb is just not enough it will quickly get used up, there's no way of having a memory card on this handset.
if the battery goes bad you have no chance of changing it unless you go to samsung or other phone outlets or ofcourse if you know what ur doing then you can do a diy job
I also notticed the glass is not strong as previous models.

I don't see the £9.99 tariff...

Battery performance doesn't last long on the S6

Looks Samsung are doing the same as apple (ripping the public off)

Agree with the others, I can't recommend this phone due to poor battery. If you are out for the whole day you'll need to carry a battery pack or risk it running out. 32gb of storage very quickly runs out!

Same here, paid £260 last year for this, so not a great black Friday deal...

Not a great phone either imo...crap battery, fair chunk of storage goes on bloat.

Did you ask for compensation?

Call o2 and complain and ask for compensation as they unlawfully took your money and you lost access to it.
Option 2 is to send an official complaint via their website.
They are scared of the Obmudsman.

Always keep copies of chat transcripts. If you cancel within 14 days, they really cannot refuse to refund you.

For new? I do not think it was £200.

I purchased a replacement "as new" recently for slightly less than this price (the best I could find) after an issue with a new phone purchased last December 26th.

I've used Apple product and I would not touch them, I was highlighting the s6 model.
however Apple service brilliant but I find there handsets very limited on doing things
#22
Personally I'd recommend the Honor 8 (currently £269 on vmall with code) as a good alternative. Similar specs, but better battery and expandable memory.

Mine has been great. I'm a medium to heavy user too.
