Always knowingly undersold and no cashback. What is the advantage of JL?
Samsung provide a 2 year warranty anyway.

That's way too much. I would buy when it comes under £300. Well to be honest S6 hasn't let me down so far.

Last Dec the refresh deal was £260 for a new S6. Now a refurbished Perfect S6 is £248 (without charger, etc). So in effect more expensive. A new S6 has gone up in price from c£350 to c£380.

I would not expect such a deal on S7 this year. It's their flagship and the S8 not even due until Feb and may be delayed.
You can get used S7 for c£412 on refresh now.

Why? If the phone develops a fault Samsung will pick it up free. JL service is worth zero as you do not need to use them. They will ask you to call Samsung on a freephone number. Buy from Currys.

A phone that catches fire for £500, you have to be really stupid to pay that crazy price. oO

Bought a brand new sealed gold S7 for £419 + £5 delivery from Smartfonestore a few weeks ago.

Picked up a genuine Ringke clear case for £4 from eBay which sets the phone off nicely.

Was tired of waiting for the S6 to drop to a decent price (circa £300) - the cheapest it was available was £350.

After some thought and research, paying an extra £70 for the current flagship which has done away with the negative points of the S6 was a small price to pay.

Will be waiting for Black Friday deals to see what comes up then. Last year the S6 was going for less than £300 sim free for a few days.
#20
I had one of these for a week or so. I sent it back because of truly terrible signal strength whilst driving. A great phone if you don't make calls on the move.

KidStart give 1.5% cashback from John Lewis.

Can you withdraw funds for yourself?
If you do not have children what then? You have to donate it.
Not really the same as traditional cashback, but good to know and useful for some.
I had never previously heard of them. I am now educated and will consider this.
But, buying from JL is hard. They are so expensive and keep rejecting prices matches even though they are valid.
Thanks ;)

I just nominate myself as a child. They don't mind. It's within their terms. It has been useful for some expensive purchases from JL and sometimes the rate is enhanced.

You want my advice, steer well clear of Sams***

Going through hell trying to get my S7 edge back from them after going for a warranty repair - they're waiting for parts (after having the phone over a month). Terrible, terrible company

Samsung phones are no longer what they were, they're now just trying to milk sheep like Apple do.

Also their screens have a horrible blue tint to them.
