Cheers my sansa clip has just died and was looking a replacement. A wee bit cheaper than the sansa plus I have a Samsung note so hopefully will be able to link up to it

Would this be able to link in some way with a rooted and rommed S3 ?

Does it actually link anyhow, or is it a seperate device on its own ?

Half answered my questions...

Samsung Pebble W1 MP3 Player Unboxing and Hands On: http://youtu.be/PpvAXy2-7b0

Looks interesting, just ordered, thanks OP.

Any idea of battery life ?

If this is the product also known as the Samsung Muse, and it looks like it is, it's worth reading this review before ordering.

From the description on Amazon, it just sounds like it's an accessory to the s3, it doesn't sound like it actually links, it states that it easy to transfer music across the s3 to the pebble, that seems about it, but correct me if im wrong anyone! It'd be great if it actually linked as a Bluetooth device

Why have they got away with kind of ripping off the old Motorola Pebble series from 8 years or so ago?

Unless I am missing something, from what I can see, in the absence of any screen, anyone planning on using this as a standalone MP3 player as suggested, will be unable to scroll and select music by artist, album, track, etc. and simply have to rely on pot luck? .....Correct? oO

Promoting this as a standalone mp3 player without the ability to select your own music ... technology just never seems to stop evolving. X)

HOT HOT HOT :)

Pointless! Not enough buyers so price dropped

what beats this in price/quality range? A sansa? I am just thinking, am I saving money or wasting money. Wouldn't this 11£ be better saved for sandisk mp3 player? genuinely asking, I need an mp3 for the gym
#34
No need to get your knickers in a twist son, it's an £11 MP3 player for petes sake - if you can find one with all the features you have listed in #29 for this price please post :p

See above comments regards to using this as a standalone MP3 player and the resultant lack of a screen and ability to scroll, search and select music from the Mp3 player library.

I have various Mp3 players for differing purposes and for the gym the lightweight full function Sansa Sandisk 4GB with a 32GB MicroSD card in it would get my vote. :)

I am not doubting the price, just simply highlighting the MP3 players shortcomings if anyone is using it as a standalone unit. Yes it's cheap, but it comes at a huge cost, the lack of the most very basic functions one would expect of an MP3 player. (_;)

As for the competition, for a few quid more you can get full function Sansa Sandisk 4GB with a 32GB MicroSD card which has markedly better battery life, the aforementioned expandability, etc. The alternative at the OP's price point would be via Fleabay which is awash with perfectly serviceable unbranded full function 8GB MP3 players that will do the job.

Or maybe the sansa is too expensive...
#39
Not really the same price range why don't you just buy another S3 can have 64gb extra memory on top of the 16gb it comes standard with...

The Sansa is not a few quid more unless you have found a deal? I think you are being a bit dramatic about the lack of a screen, even on my Sansa, I have it on random and rarely scroll through to pick songs. I do not put stuff on my Sansa that I do not like, if it is not what I want to hear at that time, I press 'Next'
