It wasn't so much that he had no proof of purchase as that he hadn't even bought one, just said he saw someone else getting a couple. Then people rang the HMV shop involved (Oxford Street branch) and were told the price was £449, which cast considerable doubt on it.

Anyone know of stock in poor shops?

i was told by the sales person that, HMV only stock this in the larger stores and when you go into hmv ask them to look on the system as there are 2 prices on thier system and some stores may have not updated the stock to show the promotional price.

These things never work out for me.
If they did...I'd be in the car already.

What is so good about these, I just don't understand.

What can this do that a laptop or even a netbook cant do?
#14
Would you be eligible for the entertainment pack with this?
#15
do you get the pure points?

Harrods have none left. Bournemouth, salisbury, winchester, southampton have none either. I have spoken to central telesales - the only ones left are currently at full price and they may release these last ones at the lower rate - but as to when, where etc is hit n miss. it may not even be released on the website at lower price. good luck if you get one!

Hmm... extremely hot deal, but something tells me I should wait for Android Honeycomb, which I'm not sure will work on this device.... anyone know?
#18

The reasons why i like it are: native flash support, free £200 worth of content, smaller than the ipad, tonnes of apps.
Samsung have confirmed that they will update this to 3.0 android.
It also acts as a phone, get a gif gaff simcard and get truly unlimited internet, unlimited texts and 250 mins with no contract just top up £10 and choose the £10 gif gaff goodybag

LOL everything you just said is what a mobile is pretty much for nowadays.

Who is really going to use this as a mobile. I know you can use a handset or bluetooth but c'mon really, all I can imagine now is someone walking down the street holding this tablet to they're ear X)

Like that comedy show where the guy is holding a big phone walking in the park LOL forgot the name of the show :(

I believe a tablet has its place in the market! I lug my laptop up and down the stairs to sofa surf, one of these would be make an extremely good alternative. With the second generation of tablets coming now its inevitable these drop so low.

**** anyway, no wonder they are 250, not worth 150
#33
I'm tempted as would be more descreat than the iPad plus expandable memory. What's the battery life like on these compared to the iPad?
#34
if anyone manages to find one at the 250 price i would be interested to know having spoken to central sales who say none at lower price uk wide...thanks

For me, I've got a great laptop, but can't be arsed sat with it on my lap when I'm in bed.
It's also a pest on the train unless you've got a table.
These let you browse the internet, listen to music and - crucially for me - watch films no hassle.

Looks like a one off deal, none available !
