  I am trying to decide between the two also, the nexus has higher resolution and quicker updates and better cpu, but the Samsung has USB OTG and a rear camera and touchwiz

  Im looking at buying one of these or the nexus 7.
  
  I have viewed them side by side and seem to think the screen looks clearer and brighter on the samsung.
  
  But I'm also undecided

  The nexus is technically better.... But the Samsung is more than capable, for me it's the Samsung as sd essential... Clouds are all well and good via a decent wifi connection which also happens to be the time when you don't really need them

  The Nexus 7 will get all the new android releases within weeks of the official release whereas you'll be waiting months (if not forever) for Samsung to even decide if they're going to update it or not
  The Nexus S is getting JellyBean whereas it's sister Samsung phone (Galaxy S) didn't even get ICS!

  if the memory of the nexus 7 isn't a problem, then definitely buy the nexus 7. have a play around with it if you already haven't. its a great device, specially with jelly bean.

  Well then they'll be stuck with 8GB for apps then.
  
  Rooting and a custom rom is a must for low storage devices like this.
  The Nexus just about has enough.
