Decent price for a great tablet. I love mine. Shame the price hasn't dropped a bit more though.

I much prefer the 8inch to the 7inch there was some issues with the 7inch being underpowered due to the processor used, but for general use and for the kids its decent enough.

s l o w tablet! Bought one for my wife last year. It's so unresponsive.

This or Hudl 2?
#15
Good price.. but I bought one in February, stopped using it in September, had a problem with the battery monitor (guess software issue) so would go to 1% after 5 mins use, and stay at that for hours. Apart from that, the tablet is relatively slow and not fantastic at playing games etc. Good price for a first tablet or something for the kids.

Hudl 2.
Faster, mainly stock android too, so it looks better and runs smoother
#17
Like many others got one last year and soon passed it on, "intel inside!" Intels first foray into Android tablets. Glitchy and slow.
#18
Bought one last year when it dropped on price. Not the fastest tablet, often glitchy and slow but now has a KitKat update which added the split screen apps. The most annoying thing about this tablet: the stereo speakers which are at the bottom of the tablet which means when watching a video in landscape you can only hear sound on one side of the tablet

#1 Daughter has this, its abysmally slow - put that down to the Samsung interface that you can't get rid of. Avoid.
#20
save your money and buy something else, It was £99 12 months ago and touchwiz on this tablet is so laggy and the whole tablet is laggy.

Rubbish !!!

it runs Dual-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A9

mines been a lot better since 4.4.2 update , but I would never buy another Samsung with all the unremovable bloatware.
#23
Maybe anyone thinking about this should look for the nexus 7 2013. At £100 I think it would be well worth it in comparison to this. Using mine for 2 years now not a problem.

Maybe it was only the 10.1 that had the atom.

I agree with the slow comments on here, But for those that already have these, have you tried applying the 4.4.2 firmware? (its on XDA Devs) It is official firmware, but not for the UK version. For me it changed the device from unusable to just a bit laggy. I'd still struggle recommending it to someone as a new purchase, but if you are stuck with once you could make it usable.

Absolute appalling tablet, avoid.
So slow and unresponsive..
Waste of £80 at cpw

Back to apple
#27
no its not fine. would NOT recomend this to anyone. its super slow and gets errors all the time. do not wase your money on this.
#28
we have one for our kids and just bought another, fine for there basic browsing, game plays and you tube watching.
#29
got this for Xmas last year... took it back a week later and got a replacement thinking the freezing and glitching and turning itself off frequently was that particular tablet. received another of the same, and that had the same problem so took that back a few days later and exchanged it AGAIN for a cheaper 7" acer and apart from a short battery life, it runs a million times better. avoid the samsung and save your money.
#30
Agreed with most comments here, yes it's cheap but the tablet is very laggy, almost unusable after a years use.
