What giveaway code thingy?
Im getting this for christmas but have told by mum to hold off cos i knew there would be further price drops. How far do we think it will drop in these precious last shopping days? Im hoping for £349.99 but its risky what with the snow and disrupted deliveries :s

Title should be @ PCWorld & Currys Digital
#3
Yeah, sorry the best price is £399 but using the PC World price promise makes it £394 so it should be @ PCWorld. Im going to head over to PCWorld later tonight to see if they will price match instore.
#4
i don't think it should, should it?
Really confused now :|
#5

Have to agree that although they look great, they are massively overpriced. £250-300 is probably the right ballpark for what is effectively a very large smartphone
#14
I would agree, they are a big smart phone but you show my one for that money with that screen size!

But isnt the ipad effectively a very large ipod touch? My point being what makes you think they are overpriced in the market? The Samsung Galaxy S will set you back £400, and surely with the tab being larger it should cost a little more. Im all for it getting cheaper but i think £400 is its ballpark for its current age and specs.

Completely agree with you, if a small phone galaxz/iphone cost £500, why shouldnt a bigger device with more screen area cost more? It seem people have forgotten that THIS DEVICE IS ALSO A PHONE STOP COMPARING WITH THE IPAD!

I ll take the tab anyday over the Ipad, as I dont like carrying a bag to work, the tab fits perfectly in my jacket, whereas the Ipad does not. I Love the way I can quicky connect an adroid device to my PC and quicky copy the recent episode of "boardwalk empire" to watch on my way to work, without the hassle of the itune, to name just one of the benefits...

Cold from me!

This is NO DEAL!

The previous Comet thread for the Galaxy Tab had the deal at £399 this is just a price-match of that.

If these are now classed as deals I hope the moderators are on 24/7 shifts and have plenty of server disk space for the load of dross that'll be getting posted.

Credit the original deal finder not this price match shizer

How is this cheap when it is £399 at best buy (32gb version) and there is 10% quidco or topcashback

If i could have voted super-cold I would have.

Love my Galaxy Tab, this is a great deal.

The price of this will rocket down in about a month or two when the new galaxy tab with QWERTY keyboard comes out.

I will be happy to lend you my iPad when the tabs battery runs out, oh and if you want to play any decent games, or if you want a device with top class support, or a device that has massive 3rd party support.

Galaxy Tablet is Blooming Rhubarb, I'll stick with Apple, people hate the Big Dog but their products are superior, Fact.

Its pathetic that some people are bigoted with respect to gadgets. If you like Apple products then get yourself one and shut up! If you like any other product, good for you! Whatever tickles your fancy, as long as it does what you want it to do for you. VALUE is relative not constant!!! oO
#31
It's a nice price in comparison to it's RRP, however i think it's a bit overpriced with the Archos 70 being £229, this should really be around £299 (due to the better quality and 3G)

However I am sure it will drop to that price by the time honeycomb comes out, even google have admitted that tablets on android just aren't ready for use since android Isn't tailered for the bigger screens.

Saying that tho, it is a good device and the fact it'll be getting even better in the future is a big plus (the iPad 2 needs to step up it's game to compete!)
#32
I've got samsun galaxy s and yet I've preferred to buy the IPad. Fair enough it can do stuff iPad won't be able to but it's a less polished product and just dobles features of the smart phones. I think 300 quid is max it's worth. Still a best price around so I guess if it's something you're after its hot deal.
#33
I think the temperature of this deal says it all

RIP Galaxy Tablet (And all Andoid devices IMO)
#34
Exactly the point..... for someone who wants one of these it's a good deal - simple as that. Why compare to an over priced Apple product, FACT. Take a look at the amount of money Apple make - it's all the fan boys lining their pockets! Don't get me wrong, if Apple stuff was a sensible price I would probably buy it, but it's not. The nearest comparable iPad to the tab is £130 more....

Shouldn't be worth more than £200. They'll be selling for 50 quid on ebay in a years time and nobody would want to know them. Android is such a still-birth.

7" tablets miss the point. Worth maybe £250 but won't achieve that in 6 months.

A still birth that will overtake iPhone sales soon... ;)

On an iPad now and other than it's smoothness its typical apple: style over substance.

Screen is quite low res, web editing is fiddly, no camera, wifi connectivity is VERY poor (move too much it needs a reconnect - for a tablet I'd say that's bad...). It's not mine so all good :-)

Galaxy tab is good but wait for the window 7 ones or newer android tablets next year.
#40
Out come the Apple haters again...

Face it there is not currently a better option than the iPad and the old Apple 'style over substance' argument¿ is regurgitated claptrap.

Put simply you're just a bunch of cheapskates and anyone who buys this thing deserves what they get (or not!)

Merry Xmas (_;)
