*** Web Exclusive Price ***

Been waiting for this to drop in price, didn't want to wait any longer and miss as its a present for my daughter.

Seems a reasonable price...previously on offer at £179

ExpertReviews.co.uk Review 3/5 - (Price at time of review was £210 - This should make it a better buy!!)

"A competent tablet, but the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 is too expensive for what it is"

The marketing...

Slim and light, the Tab 4 is easy to hold, carry and use, making it the perfect partner for on the move computing.

The 8” TFT screen offers both portability and a large viewing area, so you can make the most of films, photos and browsing wherever you are.

Multi Window lets you work on multiple apps and tabs at once for better productivity and ease of use.

Android KitKat

The Galaxy Tab 4 runs on the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system. Android provides a simple but expressive platform that you lets tap, swipe and pinch your way around your apps and media with ease.

Apps and games are easily downloaded from Google Play. Simply create an account to gain access to over a million free and paid for apps. From addictive touch games to specialist media and news programs, there's something for everyone.

Android 4.4 KitKat introduces handy new features including voice search, a new immersive mode for uninterrupted reading and improvements to multitasking and support for Chromecast wireless TV streaming.

Portable performance

A quad-core processor delivers faster performance over previous generations for quick web browsing, smooth multitasking and responsive gaming.

Storage comes courtesy of 16 GB of internal storage that's perfect for saving apps, games and more. A microSD card reader can be used to increase the storage capacity up to an additional 64 GB and is perfect for music, videos and photos and other large files.

£50 discount?? oO

RRP on these is stated as £199. Currys and PC World have them at £179 in-store. Also available at Very and Woolworths at £179 (plus delivery)

£149 is currently the cheapest I have seen (oh, apart from Koogan.com?? See earlier post...)

My maths isn't great but £199 less £50 is £149. This was listed on the Currys website as '£50 discount'

Take it or leave it but my daughter has been asking for one of these for Christmas for months after we couldn't afford to get it for her birthday earlier in the year. As I haven't seen it cheaper than £179 and only 3 more weeks to go I didn't want to miss it at £149!

Still overpriced. Not really much improved from tab 3 range except 2014 model label on it. Cold for me.

John Lewis still appear to have the tab pro on at 199, which to me still seems like the best Samsung deal out there

Not much wrong with the tab 3 8" though, best tab I've owned, though it did only cost me £130 at the start of the year.

The 8 inch Tab 3 has a better camera (5MP with auto focus) but I'm curious as to how the processors compare in Tab 3 and Tab 4. Every other spec looks the same seeing as Tab 3 is running KitKat 4.4.2 now.
