Great tablet but really needs the ICS upgrade - still a bit too laggy for me currently.

No sd card slots hampers this other wise good tablet.

Don't buy. It is slow as hell even with custom ICS rom, the tegra 2 processor is really bad. I had one and sold it within 2 week.

Blimey, I've got one and it is really good. What are you comparing it to?

The price on this is good, but it is a refurb and only has 3 months guarantee instead of the normal 1 year if it had been new. Within the next couple of weeks, there should be a new 7" Google tablet with (possibly) Jelly Bean OS and that's rumoured to be quad core and with an SD card slot. 16GB with no possibility expansion via SD card really does make it an option only for those who don't want to use it too much for storing movies or music. Prices on all tablets, especially slightly older Android tablets, are rather soft at the moment and it may be worth hanging on for a month or two to see how much they come down.

Yeah I'd agree Tegra 2 is pretty disappointing, Exynos a much better prospect for HD playback and the like. Shame.

I got one, bought it from the same seller for about 249 some 3 months ago- love it, perfect size, very thin and light, great battery life and fantastic screen :) I am also waiting for the ICS update, but wouldn't say that it is TOO slow, it has got its slow moments, but not too bad. A great alternative for ipad, tbh.

I thought the new Samsung 10.1 was supposed to have changed to a quad core Exynos but it's being sold now with a dual core Exynos. I'd have been very tempted if it had changed to the quad core and would have bought it instead of the Acer A510 - which I bought over the £30 dearer A700 with 1920x1200 because I worried the tegra 3 would struggle with that res.

does this have the same processor as my samsung tab 7. my tab is slow so this must be hellishly slow

check on the android or slate droid forum... does this have 3g built in or is it dongle compatible...... it does have low memory so I would possibly still look at the Aurora II.. I do know a couple of people that have bricked these by trying to root them so just be careful...

it is worth pointing out the front camera is only0.3mp which is not worth using compared to others right now....
you may want to check out why you really need it, as it does show G+ on the apps, but if your not bothered about G+ or google synch then there are other tablets out which are better...

Why are Samsung putting lower processors in their Tabs and still charging top whack? Profit margins?

When this came out last year the processor was one of the best available.

I have one from this reseller and it comes in a white but galaxy tab branded box. The product looked as new and I was very pleased with this trader on ebay. The tab itself is very light and I never realised how the weight of the tab is important for use of more the 5 minutes. I agree the homescreen lags a little but am hoping the impending ICS update will fix this. the 8.9inch form factor is perfect for my use and it is very easy to hold, after trying some of the 10.1 inch tabs they feel to bulky and big and you really don't loose to much screen for over the 10" tabs.

Had mine for a month or so now and am very pleased, I have bought a raft of add ons for card reader adaptors etc. and need to find the time to use them.
