Samsung Galaxy Tab - 8.9 Wi-Fi 16GB Android Tablet £199.99 @ Expansys
really good price for the 16GB version - Jellybean ROM possibly aval (see post 2 thanks to cRuNcHiE)
Amazon still want £290
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 is the Goldilocks of tablets; it's just the right size that fits between the small 7.1 inch and large 10.1 inch slates on the market.
With an 8.9 inch screen its big enough to watch a film on but light enough to use with one hand, the Tab 8.9 is a fast and gorgeous looking tablet that is ideal for on the go.
It condenses all the power from its larger brother, the Galaxy Tab 10.1, and squeezes it into a smaller, more manageable design. In doing so, the Tab 8.9 is perfect for those who don't want the extra 100g of heft for a 10-inch tablet such as the iPad 2.
The HD display is packed with pixels, giving users a brilliant screen for watching films, reading eBooks or simply browsing the web.
A fast and smooth performance is delivered thanks to the 1GHZ dual-core Nvidia Tegra processor which gets the best out of the Android 3.2 Honeycomb software (Ice Cream Sandwich update is available) - breezing through 3D games and juggling dozens of widgets, feeds and multi-tasking apps without a stutter.
Motion-sensor treats are on board too. It has Samsung's nifty TouchWiz capability, making it easier to navigate your tablet.
Features you'll love:
The size a Tablet was always meant to be, not too small, not too bulky - 8.9 inches, 8.6mm slim and 470g it's the perfect size for on the go.
Minimalist design, just the on/off button and volume rocker are the only physical buttons.
Portable media hub - Read e-Books, magazines, watch films and play games all on the stunning HD display.
Get 9 hours use from the 6100mAh battery.
A 2MP front facing camera means you can take the board room with you. And the 3MP rear camera takes sharp photos.
Comes in a cool white/sleek black finish.

Probably a very bad idea to flash that.

Camera: 3MP auto-focus with LED flash, 720p HD video recording / 2MP front camera
Location: A-GPS
Sensors: Gyroscope, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor, Compass
Input/Output: 30-pin dock connector port / 3.5mm stereo headphone jack

Good alternative for the Nexus 7 for those wanting a larger screen but doesn't come with either sd card slot or HDMI out, which are the main complaints regarding the nexus 7. The spec is a generation back (tegra 2) and is 100g heavier, but the extra 1.9 inches will make viewing webpages a little easier. The battery life should be very similar (the nexus has a smaller batter, but also smaller screen).
