qabz - That's the HUKD link, it's how we make money. Thanks for the heads up, Asda is only 4% cashback on electricals so this is a better deal with Quidco considered.

Looks like it's wifi only so not as good as the Asda deal.

The Asda one is 3g.

Which is the better model,
The Bestbuy which has larger memory, with model no = GT=P1010

Against the Asda model no = GT =p1000 ?

Sorry guys for earlier post.
Looks like this one is 3G too.
Read para. 6 on description:

The tablet’s uses the Android 2.2 operating system and this, combined with the Galaxy Tab Wi-Fi’s 1GHz processor, Wi-Fi connectivity and superfast HSDPA and HSUPA web browsing, make it a super-slick way to get hold of the latest news, play your favourite games and chat to friends online.

I wouldn't bank on the quidco from BestBuy - numerous complaints about people not receiving their payment even for a valid transaction.

Not voting either way as seems to be a problem with the description leading to 3g or non-3G confusion. Asda deal hot, this deal not (as yet).

lol!

Although these can cope with that dying (according to Steve Jobs) web site phenomenon that is flash! I would have myself an iPad if they could do flash - not sure how well these handle it though so may be capable but could still be poor????

ipad 2 is £399 isn't it?

Compare like for like. The £399 ipad 2 is the wifi only 16gb one....not 3G.

So this is a worse deal than the Asda one but is still being voted hot?

How does that work?

A benefit of this is that it handles a lot of 720P MKV I've thrown at it like a champ since its a divx certified device, 8 reference frames for those that care

[quote=seefman]For £220 I could get a dualcore archos laptop, and the 7" size of this doesn't blow me out of the water if I'm being honest

A laptop and a tablet aren't really directly comparable, certainly not when the tablet is also a phone.

will these devices be upgradeable when new android o/s comes available (i.e honeycomb)?

actually it's a lot better than an iPad, the iPad like the iPhone pales in comparasion to Android, if your looking for something that looks slick and shiny then the iPad/iPhone is for you, if you want something that actually does the job properly then Android is for you
#23
This is a good deal but i am going to hold out for the best Tablet of them all (including the iPad2) the Motorola Xoom which runs Android Honeycomb.

I won't disagree that 10in tablets are great - I've got an iPad and it's great on a plane, on holiday & round the house - BUT they are not carry round devices like the Galaxy Tab.

The tab has not got the best screen or the best UI or the best anything really, but it is very practical in everyday real use & I take mine with me everywhere.

Now showing as £349
#27
Picked mine up just now after getting text email, nice device. Be warned, the box is tiny lol
#28
Re Best Buy and Quidco, a friend of mine is still waiting for cashback 10 weeks after his credit card was debited. Quidco say they're chasing Best Buy to honour their promise. I don't know if this an isolated case, or commonplace.

is now 349
